On the command cards: Yep, any card for the character works with any version of that character. Even cross faction like Boba and eventually Ahsoka. For the Snows Ion heavy weapon: id argue recharge move+free shoot isnt a bad move to keep a vehicle limited. And 1 black and 6 white in a full unit is pretty solid especially if you know your playing CIS, where ion opens up alot more targets.
Yeah, it is situationally useful, but the only times I've run into it with Shadow Collective or CIS I've been able to shut it down pretty easily. If it is your only anti vehicle you can take it is worth bringing. Also thanks for confirming command cards work that way!
You won't see it often, but the Empire's generic 1-pip command card doesn't let you look at your opponent's hand anymore. Now it reads: While an opponent issues orders using a command card, each unit that is issued an order with that card gains 1 suppression token. Also the resolution might not be up to snuff for an HD youtube video but the most current versions of cards can be found on The Fifth Trooper's Legion HQ and Tabletop Admiral army builders.
Thanks! It's been difficult to find good resolution and up to date images of stuff so I'll check on fifth troopers site, I don't really use their list builder.
Nice video, I feel like you had good things to say about all the units! I think it might be feels bad to call the empire an easy faction. They are a faction that focuses on fundamentals. They don’t have hat tricks or wombo combos, they just do the basics and do them well. Because of this they highlight the skill of the pilot. I think if you view them as the easy-mode faction it will be feels bad for you when you lose to them, or maybe feels bad for your opponent when they beat you since that might devalue your opponents decision making skills. I hope that concern comes across clearly. It may not even be that big of a deal but it’s something that I personally felt was important for the longevity of peoples enjoyment! Thanks for working hard on the content either way!
I see them as the easiest to learn, but to master them you do have to put in effort and maybe that was just poorly communicated. They do have a lot of depth and intricacies, but compared to every other faction they are the fastest one for a new player to learn. Right now with blizzard force they do feel like an easy mode faction, so that may have influenced me more then J thought in the phrasing.
Great video! I'm getting into Legion right now, so it's super useful for me for understanding how these expansions work for different strategies. One thing though - you seem to confuse hits and crits, stormtroopers convert surges to hits, while e-web heavy blaster converts surges to crits. Just a small caveat, I'm coming from x-wing background and it's a strange choice from FFG, but all their games have hit symbols fully covered by paint while crits have only the outlines painted in. Logically I'd assume it was the other way around, just like you did here. I hope my comment won't come off as pretensious, that's not at all what I have in mind.
Thanks so much for making this video! Only just last week I decided to finally take the dive into Legion! Super excited to run an Empire list, and this was super handy for figuring out what each unit can do.
Apologies for being that guy, but Corps is a French worse, so the P is silent and you pronounce it as 'Core' not 'Corpse.' Additional: Looking at how the Empire has their Battleforces, the Rebels could easily have a counter be the Scariff Attack Force, though this would require the inclusion of the U-Wing as well as Chirrut and Baze.
I have said core before but my brain uses the Pronunciation interchangeably. And yes, that would be an amazing rebel battleforce! There are so many things that they could do!
After the end of the mandalorian I decided to get into this game. So I went out and bought all of Gideon's army. I picked up some super commandos and gave them the imperial paint scheme. I'm not sure how I'm going to run them. I'll either use the normal super commando rules, or just treat them as dark troopers.
Treating them as dark troopers is a good idea asong as your openent is up for it! Moff gideons imperial remnant battleforce does seem pretty fun, and pretty good as well so good luck!
@jackofalltradesgaming4882 you are correct. Ewoks are releasing 7/21/23. As of now it is unclear of we are getting a battleforce box or just have to get the units ala cart like remnant.
@@Emperor_Atlantis the boxes aren't out there. We have seen the minis for the ewoks, the command cards for wickett, 3p0, chewie in the ATST (which is getting added to the ATST rather than a battleforce box exclusive) we know some of the units that can be taken. But we do not have a full box revealed or leaked (unless you can link it to me I'll happily be proven wrong)
@@AnyoneCanBeNerdy I keep responding to this comment but everything below it keeps disappairing? Weird. I wanted to say that I saw pictures of the backside of the shaman box that indicates its also a battle force (non rebel backside on order tokens. 8new command cards. Certain units that are exclusive to the battleforce)
I would say the dark troopers are definitely deadlier than B-2's, however the most you can ever take is 3 so not exactly the same either. I haven't played against either a b-2 or dark trooper spam yet tho, but in theory they are similar

Eventually i will fix everything lol, i actually appreciate these comments a lot it helps me realize I am human and what to fix next time!

Very informative for new players. Just a caveat; corps is pronounced "core", not "corpse".
Yeah, the mispronounciation makes me wanna remake all my early videos lol
Great videos man!
Thanks!
Technically the Rebels are awaiting an Ewok Battleforce. Rebels will have 2 Battleforces as of the end of May
I thought ewokes weren't releasing until July? I assumed that was when the battleforce would be out

The geonosians however for CIS are not

Would you say Dark Trooper lists are the same as a B2 spam list? Im debating getting into legion and I like my droids so i was debating what to do
