you even don't know how to make a youtube video. You people are spreading false news regarding the Kalash People. Being a Kalash I advise you do not to ask religious questions from the innocent kids and uneducated people over there . Even the Scholars of other religions reflect back many times before conveying their messages to their people about their religions. How you can ask such kinds of questions from these innocent people. You should visit the bumburate valley, there you will find the religious scholars of Kalash (Imran Kabir). We don't have any books like other religions and we were not taught about the Kalash religion in schools. Instead of teaching us about Kalash religion, we are compelled to read islamiate . That's why we know more about Islam but we know approximately nothing about our own religion. Although there is a huge concept behind different ceremonies, traditions, and festivals of Kalash people.

You should have consulted the Qazis (elders/scholras) from Birir or any other valleys, for collecting information about these holy festivals, instead of these kids, as they seem totally ignorant of their religion.
These are Indo-Aryan tribes, who have been living in most of parts of lower Chitral and even Afghanistan, according to their songs/historical references/holy places.
Birir is the only valley that remains open during this festival, other 2 valleys have restrictions for outsiders, on the basis of Onjesta (pure ) and pragata (profane/impure) , once the purification of women ( Sheeshao) and men ( Istongos rituals).
This festival , Chowmos, is a series of events, somewhere you may see a Vedic touch but they are the indigenous people of this region of Hndukush.
