    After a c-section birth: your surgery wound hurts...you cannot get up from.the bed easily, becouse every move hurts, you feel a lot of pressure there and you have the feeling the wound opens when you get up. You are weak...cannot stand for a long time, at least the first few days. At the same time, breasts produce milk, and by the third day they are swollen, hurt to touch and very big. Milk does not come out so easily though..your baby has to work a lot to get a little bit of milk...I also used my breast pump to unclog my milk canals....the saddest part is the baby is fed formula until milk is produced in the breasts...
    Every time you pee hurts...pooping does not hurt though...but if you were put to sleep during the operation, your entire digestive system is affected...you feel nauseus, have diarrhea and vomit...
    You may have post partum depression and the studies say that it is more likely to have it if you gave birth through a c-section. I felt sad, like crying for two weeks, at both births...you may or may not have a reason to cry, but you feel so overwhelmed with sadness that you cry, no matter what ....
    Then, on top of theese may be the exhaustion if you must wake up much during the night with your baby, especially if you have to pump your breasts and bottle feed your baby ( with my first child, he was born prematurely and I had to do that as he did not have enough strength to breastfeed)
    Nipples may get irritations and wounds...and in many cases hurt and bleed...mine did as well. It takes about a month or more to heal.
    There are so many things to write about this experience but no one would have time to read so much...just wanted to share some of the struggles of a mom after a c-section birth)...it is so hard at first but then, it all passes and you heal and you get used to the changes and you get to bond with your baby and have a beautiful relationship with them..you get to know the baby better...
    Being a mom requires a lot of sacrifice and pain at first but then when you look back at everything, you know it was worth all the pain.
    No birth is easy...but there is beauty in giving birth and being a mom, something men can't experience..it's not only pain..
    Sorry for my bad english...

      Lucia Tat I'm going to be a new mom! I'm only a few weeks pregnant and I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. I'm so scared of what if I hurt my baby whilst it's still in my stomach and I just want to do the best I can to keep my baby safe inside of me. What are the things I can't eat and do? Please advice me.
      And what's better, C section or natural vaginal birth?
      Thanks again and God bless you❤❤❤❤

      Éll Gould thank you so much for reading my experience and God bless you too! 🤗 I did not intend to scare anyone with my comment , it was just my experience, it may not be so in your case...some births are easier, others harder but we (women) are made strong enough to be able to get through all this!
      Don't worry about hurting your baby, he/she is well protected in the womb and it takes traumas like accidents, and serious things to hurt your pregnancy. For example if you fall very badly or get hit in the stomach or things like theese....sex during pregnancy is usually safe and you only should avoid it if your doctor indicates so, if you have problems with your pregnancy, like placenta previa ( what I have now; I am pregnant with my third baby)
      About what you can eat/drink in pregnancy, you can eat pretty much everything, there are not many restrictions regarding food, but you should eat a very rich in nutrients diet, try to avoid as much as you can processed foods;
      You shoud not take any medicine without prescription from your doctor, most medicines are not ok in pregnancy as they can affect your baby's developement;
      Avoid alcohol, too much coffee, herb infusions that are not indicated in pregnancy (you will find information about each on the internet); avoid smoking, this can also affect your baby;
      If you exercise, avoid intense exercises, instead walk or do mild exercises...there are special excercises for pregnant women if you want to try;
      You probably are going to feel sleepy, so it's good to rest when you are tired .
      Don't sleep on your belly;
      If you take baths, don't use hot water, it's not good for your baby! The water temperature should be no warmer then your body's temperature...
      If you get a cold or a flu and you have fever, go to a doctor for a prescription medicine against fever; it is not very safe for the baby if your body temperature raises too much( more then 38 degrees Celsius); usually they will prescribe you paracetamol, but it's still importand to have it prescribed;
      Don't lift or carry heavy weights(Important!)
      About what type of birth is better, my opinion is there is a better birth for each case, one thing does not apply for all cases. In my case, c-section was needed both times but there are many cases in.which vaginal birth is the best option. Normally, doctors will advise you to go for the vaginal birth if there are no conditions or complications to indicate otherwise.
      Afterall, it is the way we are made to give birth so, if there are no complications, I think vaginal birth is better. For many women though, c-section was a salvation and the best way to give birth;
      Your doctor will advise you best about this, becouse he/she will know your medical condition.
      I hope I could help you and I wish you have an easy birth, and a healthy baby! 😀🤗
      Don't forget to ask your doctor about every concern that you have in your pregnancy. Be blessed!

    It took my uterus two weeks to shrink down and I lost my stomach completely. I was very skinny by week one from breastfeeding. I could feel the uterus shrink all the way down.

    • @luciatat4084
      @luciatat4084 6 років тому

      Hannah White that happens mostly after your first birth...after the second it takes longer...

    • @theempresss
      @theempresss 6 років тому +2

      Are you sure? Because my stepmom had my younger four siblings. Two girls and one set of TWIN boys and she is skinny without working out. I have never seen that woman work out. She is now almost 40 and she looks amazing. I think it Is about lifestyle and how you eat when you’re pregnant. She was only belly.
      Also my real mom had two girls, my older sister and I and she lost the weight after birth quickly. I looked at her baby shower photos with me and I couldn’t believe she was 9 months pregnant she was tiny. With my firstborn I didn’t get a belly until 7 months and i gained 14 by 37weeks when she was born. I kept my flat stomach. My also only gained under 15 pounds and her body snapped back. I am currently 35 weeks with number two and again I haven’t gained any weight besides the baby in these eight months just a “basketball” belly as my mom calls it. BUT I got my belly at 6 months this time a month earlier than my first. My body is still in shape lots can’t tell I’m pregnant unless i wear a skin tight dress.I think it is lifestyle, great genetics, and eating habits. I’ll let you know how many weeks this one takes to shrink down since I’m due anyday now!
      How long did it take you? Women say that and still look 6 months and their kids are in middle school.

    • @luciatat4084
      @luciatat4084 6 років тому +3

      Hannah White well, I think you are right, there are many factors, like eating habits, genetics, etc...you probably have better genes or lifestyle! :)
      For many women, it takes longer to recover, especially from the second birth on...it is also probably the way you give birth...I had two c-sections. With my first baby, I had a flat stomach after 2 weeks but with my second it took a few months...I don't think I ate more then I did after my first birth...so, yes, there are cases and cases, I think...maybe age matters too; as you get older, probably the body recovers more slowly...and you tend to loose weight harder.

    • @theempresss
      @theempresss 6 років тому +1

      Well to be totally honest I had a friend that left high school to have a baby as a teenager and she was HUGE. She finally lost the weight her daughter is 5. Before her daughter she was very very skinny. So it just depends on the person and their genetics and lifestyle and like you said whether they give birth vaginal or c section can also effect the weight lost. But I don’t believe the age thing there are plenty of fit plder people thanks to their lifestyles and genes.

    • @luciatat4084
      @luciatat4084 6 років тому +2

      Hannah White
      yes,you are right but maybe for some people age is a factor too; if you have a baby at 20 years old and another one at 30, and another at 40, you are going to see differences between the births...like how fast you recover, etc.
      Weight is, how you said, more dependant on how you eat or your genes but it is true that when you are young, you loose weight more rapidly then as you get older; or, as you get older, you have to work more to keep yourself in shape. It does not apply to all people; there are always exceptions to everything but generally speaking, it is easier to loose weight when you are very young. As you said though, there are more factors to influence this matter then age.
      I had my first son at 26 years old and my daughter at 30. I did feel a difference and they were only 4 years apart. I don't know how to explain in detail, but overall, it felt harder the second time then the first.. maybe I age faster, maybe not for everyone will be the same as in my case...
      Probably this is the reason why we menopause around 50 years old....there is an age and time for everything and even if we look very young and we take care of our health and looks...the biological clock is ticking...not that we should have all our kids until 30 years old :)) I did not mean it that way; or that we should be very stressed about this matter; I am 32 now and pregnant with my third baby. I hope it all goes well....

      I am a single mom and took care of her myself no help. ( her father abusive). She is just naturally calm. But there is a guy who created a video on how to calm newborns and allllll of his tips work. I’m going to look it up and refer you to his videos because they work I mean in 15 seconds. Quiet! The baby is transitioning from your peaceful belly to real world so he teaches you how to make the baby feel like it is in the womb. Brb!

    You will be scared to poop. Your vagina feels and gets sore especially if it's the first or baby was bigger. Your stomach looks like pizza dough for a while. Everyone says you have heavy bleeding for like a month. Well for me it was only heavy the first week. Then got lighter and lighter slowly. It was about a month though. I thought I needed two packs of over night pads. I didn't even use them much. The hospital pads lasted long enough for the heaviest flow. Then I just used the overnight pads for like two days. After that I used regular pads for about two weeks. The rest of the time just used panty liners. This is what happened for me after all three babies. I guessing it's the same for everyone to. I definitely did not bleed super heavy for a month.
