That poor lonely marine in the gungoose gambit must’ve died after the video and the two marines were late😢 I have both of these sets I’m the kind of person that gets those four or three pack Halo sets
Mega doesn't have as many variations in figure designs as the games do character designs, at least when it comes to the Elites. The Halo 3 armor they have essentially works as their Bungie/Infinite style armor, while they have a handful of Halo 4/5 style figures for sets based on those games.
Just took a look at my marine from gungiose gambit and he has a darker and more solid print on his visor. Weird. If many others are getting “bad” visors or less than desirable, than does that mean my marine has a good quality control?
I just ordered my recon getaway. It’s such a good army builder, especially for me considering where I live, it’s really hard to get mega bloks here so I’m glad to get a few good figure for a cheap prise
I spent a decent amount army building the earlier sort of "concept art" infinite brutes, and now idk if i wanna spend a bunch army building the newer, more game accurate brutes. I got 2 of this set and 2 banished garrison packs though, so i do have a decent enough army of the new guys.
Are you referring to the silver brutes? Because if so, I actually have a headcanon for that. Since the silver brutes are more scavenger-esque (usually only one leg/shoulder armor), and look like their armor is unpainted, I think of them as a pack/packs that were specifically assigned to the scavenging of supplies and whatnot for the banished proper. They're one of the main sources of raw materials to the banished, perhaps being the most efficient at tearing apart what has been destroyed so that it could be reused. They could also be thought of as more dangerous and stronger than some banished proper brutes, since they'd constantly be physically laboring rather than delegating lesser species. It's also nice that the halo heroes chieftain matches their color scheme, so he could be used as the chieftain of their pack. Their unpainted armor and missing pieces could be explained as them needing to meet quotas for supply to the rest of the banished, and they are left with mostly scraps and have their supply neglected, likely not even bothering to paint their armor either to set themselves apart, or to honor their chieftain. But that's just me being a nerd because I think they look very cool on their own despite not being game accurate, per se.
Bruh the jackel sniper is the STRONGEST FIGURE IN THIS SET'S I played halo infinite on legit every mode and it is so strong on heroic and Legendary and they are the most EVIL
I feel like it's just me that hates the new mongoose build? it feels too skinny, too weak, and the way they did the wheels doesn't sit right with me. I get that it's accurate, I just don't like it honestly. only other thing I don't like about Recon Getaway is the marine shoulders, and the ginger beard face. the latter being kinda small, I just think it's kinda ugly, but I prefer having at least the option for shoulderpads but no shoulderpads than the smooth ones. idk why they just look bad to me.
@@blue-vr8dd yea I hate the new mongoose too, it doesn't feel like a rugged offroad vehicle to me. I used 2 of them to build a custom Reach style mongoose. What I love about the set is the figure selection; 2 generic marines and 2 generic enemy troops, it's just a great introduction to starting to collect your forces.
The funny thing is I somehow managed to find two of the Recon Getaway set at Target yesterday (I don't know how because I thought the set wasnt being stocked anymore) and both had the marines come with the shorter legs.
I honestly think that the taller marines are a good thing, not for scale but for different heights between the marines
That's a very good point!

Haha I've been putting the Marines crotch piece the wrong way the whole time I thought they were wrong but I was learn something new everyday
Live and learn!
I flip them around for variation’s sake
Does the elite have the Halo 3 combat armor? I'm thinking it definitely does not look like the infinite design, especially with those shoulder pieces.
Mega uses the H3 armor for the Infinite Elites

I like the size difference, it's realistic
It works out decently well
Love this type of vid, would you compare the Razorback to the Skiff?
Those two are fairly different though I suppose they are both troop carriers.
@@DemarcationMedia thats my thought, and why i see them similarly
A comparison between the two Ghost sets would be nice as well.

I think that mine probably actually had a missed layer of print

The Recon Getaway made it pretty much everywhere in the world, which is fantastic

Game accuracy can take a backseat if the figures are cool, in my opinion

Personally I like to build both because it adds more color and ranks to the banished!

As long as they have some distance on you
There meh since their guns don’t one shot
You have the piece on right. It's supposed to be a belt. You can look at the halo heroes marine sniper or any of the pre built marines.
Exactly, thank you!
I got the mongoose set already and ordered the gungoose yesterday, expecting it by Monday at the latest.
Where did you order it from? I can't seem to find it anywhere
Keep checking Amazon--the restocks come fairly often
I live in the UK and I ordered on ebay, but it was 30 pounds sadly.
I don’t mind the difference in size, not everyone the same height in the military after all.
See, that's what I'm saying
The marine in the recon getaway looks like Walter white lol
You're not wrong
Jesse, there won't be any methlomine if we don't stop the Banished!
I just realized after all this time, the gungoose gambit looks like the razorback but mongoose version, or a $20 Halo Infinite shop gungoose skin.
It 100% looks like the Razorback
I think Recon Getaway was perfect.
It's as close to perfect as a set can get!
