I bought the Super Console X NES version two weeks ago, and the only significant issue I have is its overheating problem. Even in NES games, it causes issues when it gets hot. For example, after a certain period of time, when it overheats, there are delays and drops in the visuals in games like Contra for NES. I wonder if I should open it up and replace the thermal paste or somehow install a fan. It would be great if you could assist me.

I don't know emulation all that well so I'll try to do as you say... I get in there and tinker around, turn on things, turn off things, see what happens. I may have fucked it up and didn't realize it. LOL
Thank you for your tear downs, I remember that you tore down this system. My system that came from aliexpress, it had a rattle inside, I thought it could have been the cooling element because you can easily rip it off. But I just opened it and found out that it was the LED little box was just out of the area and that was what was rattling. So I stuck it back in place and through a tab of glue on the post where it connects to. It seems firmly into place but just in case I just put a dab of super glue on the posts.. thanks for the teardowns, I know her take things apart so that came in handy

I got a question about the console X machines in general. My TV is 49 inch. Every UA-cam reviews these boxes on a monitor. How does this perform on a bigger TV? Does it look good or: -Is the image ugly and stretched out or -You have very large black borders around the screen and only 20 inch of gameplay on the TV?

Hello Wicked! I should be receiving mine in 2-3 days, went with the 256GB chip version. I have a couple questions you may be able to help answer (or any other friendly earthlings that know!). 1. Instead of using the wireless controllers, can I simply plug my wired xbox360 clone pad into port 1 and have it de detected on power up? I just really like the one I have but didn’t know if it would require extra setup? 2. It seems to enjoy getting hot according to ETA Prime: do you think I could just jerk the case open when playing to cool it, or maybe use a USB powered fan with the case open to blow on the exposed board for extra cooling? If yes, could I plug the fan into another of the front USB ports to power it to cool it off? Or would you recommend another usb power source? Another idea I had was using a plastic-encased ice-pack and just set the Cube on top of it to cool from below? Maybe a dry wash cloth between the two to prevent moisture? I am up for ideas, as ETA’s review showed once it got much past 7 degrees Celsius PS1, DC and N64 frame rates dropped and in came the choppiness. After he let it cool down to 44c, they all ran full speed again. The AliExpress page I bougtght from showed the SEGA Saturn logo- do I even dare hope it will play any Saturn? That’s what I really want in a cheap system and hope it runs! Last question: any chance if some games are too slow I could take the MicroSD out of this Cube and put it directly into my Raspberry Pi 400, power it up and have it work without having to fuss with it to run? if you only use it to play nes, snes, megadrive, gba, ps1,and a few n64 games these things are awesome way better than a mini nes snes or ps1 classic atleast without any further modifications I do look forward to when the company brings a more powerful version out in the future but still a great way to experience all the old retro systems in one box ready to play and pretty much any usb controller is compatible.
I don’t care about the fighting games or racing games on the newer systems. Would much rather spend my time on dusty, old and forgotten Commodore 64 and Amiga stuff.

It is. Depending what you are getting it for. I got it just so I can play the old arcade games that have never been released on home port. The beauty about is that all the titles are list in alphabetical order unlike the Pandora box and you can use your own controller if you want. You don't have to use the ones that come with it. I I use the X Arcade Dual Stick just so I can have an arcade experience.

they call it cube but instead of a gamecube like case they went with an NES case should of called it the super console XES.but it has 4 usb ports like the upcoming evercade vs.they also need to stop putting certain games & emulators on it if it just doesn't have the power to run them
The n64 aki wrestling games don’t seem to work and the one that does WCW revenge has no character movement on the controllers that came with the console, does anybody know a way around this ie, using a 360 controller maybe ?? Thanks in advance guys have a great day
Maybe you can help me I bought when I was playing the open beats file when I tried figuring what buttons did what I somehow messed up the settings now whenever I try playing a game in that file I get a little box in the corner listing which ever games I try to play on the bottom of the square it has a start game s bgm player d view logs f quit game but no matter what I do can't get game to play

@@cybershellrev7083 I contacted the place I bought it, they said probably the motherboard died. They just issued a refund. I may pass on getting another. 3 hours isn't a long time for a system to go capoot.
I'm having some wierd issues with this console, on Nintendo 64 in any racing game I have no steering, left/right and the joysticks work to navigate through the game menus but in actual game there is no left or right control, if anyone has any advice for a fix it would be much appreciated 😊

Boot system up without controller connected. If ok you got the connect controllers. Get a different one... can be a Xbox 360 and config that one. (Maybe this is a idea ?)

Virtual Fighter 3 for Dreamcast runs pretty good. Cruising USA for N64 doesn’t run so well.

got a 58 inch tv and the cube model, works alright, quality is acceptable, its stretched out for me can send pictures hit me up if u need them cheers

Does the main board have a fan header?
For Colecovision I know u can put Roms in Intellivision folder. Is there a trick for playing Apple II, Tandy, or old MS-DOS games as well?
