I travelled with my family on that line way back in the late 60's. During the same holiday we also travelled on the garden line near Budliegh Salterton too. But I can't remember what it was called
I have just stayed there and would not have done if I had realized how Warners have destroyed this place! How could they have thought that gardens-boring-!-- would attract more visitors than a wildlife park ! And what happened to the lemurs and smaller animals that were not originally disposed of? Such a waste!
Not the most entertaining of rides, about as fun as watching paint dry. I wonder if the driver ever fell asleep! I’m glad there are still much better railways to visit but not happy that more are being closed by the land owners😡
Nice record of an attractive lost line.
I gtravelled on this line but didn't realise what a scenic ride it was. Must have sat on the wrong side!
What a shame to have taken such a great feature away. We have just been there and saw no sign even of the trackbed.

Where did trains and track go?
Some of the rail is now being laid on the Barn Well Hill Railway in Oxfordshire
