We must agree on Peterborough Cathedral an amazing place, our favourite is actually Winchester. We travelled on the Nene valley last year, but didn't stop at Wansford. If you're down our neck of the woods again, we would definitely recommend the Kent & East Sussex Railway & indeed Tenterden a lovely little town 👍🐰
Well you can actually get 2 for 1 as the Rother valley railway is aiming to connect to the K&ESR at Bodiam, just awaiting result of public enquiry over Level crossing replacement over the A21. Trust me it's a lovely area.
I used to live in Peterborough for 8 years in the 80’s, have been in the cathedral many times, but was nice to hear your talk about it, I learnt a lot of things I did not know. I love Peterborough and we go once a year from East Sussex where I have lived for 25 years now.
A really interesting video. We’ve just booked a couple of nights there as we head home from Trev and Sue’s rally. We’ll definitely make a trip to the cathedral and hopefully a visit to the railway. Thanks for sharing.
I have sung at Peterborough Cathedral many moons ago with my Uncle's choir The Recheldis singers. Brilliant video e and thank you for taking us with you on the Nene Valley Railway. Have a great time in Scotland. Cheers Malcolm and Jill
What an interesting video Bob, we will make that train trip when next at Ferry Meadows, our favourite Cathedral is Lincoln, we often visit both the Cathedral & Castle as we live just outside Lincoln in a sleepy village, keep the videos posted, take care both of you, all the best.
We haven’t travelled on the Nene Valley Railway for quite some time. We enjoyed our visit to Peterborough and it’s beautiful cathedral. Nice video Bob. Looking forward to seeing your Scotland tour. 😃🚐👍🏻Trev n Sue
As a huge railway fan I’ve been on this one (unsurprisingly) it’s not my favourite as it’s a bit flat but nice to see you got a diesel not steam (for me at least) and I was told they call it NEN not Nene around there.. have fun in Scotland 👍
Hi Bob , Jenny and Poppy, I am a volunteer on the West Somerset Railway, it runs for 20 miles between Bishops Lydeard near Taunton to Minehead in Somerset. It offers a great mixture of countryside and coastal views. It would be good to see you on the railway next time you are in this part of the country.
Hi Bob,Jenny and Poppy, a lovely day out, loved the train journey, Poppy was making sure the guys working on the platform kept at it. She is so funny x The Cathedral was stunning, a lovely look around, looking forward to your Scotland trip xJulie and Tony x
I've just add to sand my driving licence back as i turn 70 in a month's time thay have sent my driving licence back but that means I can't drive a motorhome I pass in 1983 x
You have to apply to keep C1 rights when you reach 70. Here's the government webpage on that. www.gov.uk/renew-driving-licence-at-70#:~:text=Once%20you%20reach%2070%2C%20you,must%20do%20this%20by%20post. Notice the link about keeping the C1 licnce.

Peterborough gets such a bad reputation. I always found it nice enough to visit.
Yes, we've never had problems in Peterborough. Like a lot of cities.
I've just add to sand my driving licence back as i turn 70 in a month's time thay have sent my driving licence back but that means I can't drive a motorhome I pass in 1983 x
Not sure what you mean, but did you apply to renew your C1 entitlement before you got to 70?
@@BobEarnshawMoHo yes but it's come back without the right to drive a large vehicle 😔
