I like how the V2 was made with Demise in mind. V1 Powerdown has a very fast-paced segment after the “WAHOO!” to represent the feeling of the part where you run like hell from MX. That part is now replaced with one that kinda feels almost like a complete mental break after GF get ripped in half, because the idea of running from this dude now has its own song entirely where BF actually runs for his life
V2 was an absolute glow up for sure. This song really benefitted from the added intrumental and vocal complexity, both for difficulty and overall quality. Dude is terrifying in this one, plus that BF scream in 3:15 *sells* the drama after MX kills GF. What a good improvement.
i know this isn't a major detail, but they also changed mx's design to where the colors of his shirt and overalls are the same as the original (the major one is that he's his hella tall canon height)

The v1 looked better for me since the mx in super mario bros port wasn't a literal dark souls boss the assets of the new one sux to me and the song still slaps in v1 while v2 just demotivates me
I like videos like this because they let me hear the false hero part of v2 completely uninterrupted honestly anyone who wants to compare the songs and say v1 could be better can take it up with that part

Seeing old marios madness is so oddly amazing since the old still has some effort and quality and with its final result its such a good sight
It really just shows they took an already well made mod and put some amazing levels of polish on it.
