Hey James, I was reading through the recent comments on this vid and it is quite obvious that I ain't the only one missing you. Saw that you said you got sick for a week and you're taking a break and will be back. Hope you're feeling better and enjoying your break. Looking forward to seeing you back on here. Much love♡
Love that you just let your hens be hens and friends. They will help in the garden however they can and they also help to enlarge your heart by giving you the opportunity to care for them without heavy expectations. That's important in permaculture for me.
James, you're such a philosophical guy, very down-to-earth and well-intentioned. Good to see things growing, still too frigid here in Canada with grey skies every day. Looking forward to spring. Keep up the good work brother!
Ahhh James that Tucky is so adorable ... Always digging his carrots . I’m so glad you mentioned the one year garden looking like that because ,,, I’m Irene the 65 yrs old who follows you so closely ,,, When you plant , I plant !!! What you plant ,!i plant , and where you buy , I buy !!! I want my garden looking like yours !!! Thank you for sharing !
my permaculture garden I have been followed James for months. Then new videos stopped and I don’t see anything coming from his channel. My question is, are you getting any new videos from James?
I went to check Steemit , but the last time he posted was 2months ago . Hope he is ok . I don’t know how to contact him . If I find something, I’ll come back to this thread and let you know ......Irene
Oh my! Love the plant situation in the greenhouse. Looks marvelous. The chickens are so cute. They have a lovely life! You help the chicks and they help you. Nature at it’s best. We have had some pretty weather in East Texas so I got in the garden and dug up 13 asparagus and moved them to a better location. I didn’t think I could get them out, but I did. Very satisfying. That Tuck is a character. So funny. He has so much personality.
James I want to thank you from bottom of my heart for all the time, information and enthusiasm you have provided us. I really mean that. I am in gratitude of you finding your calling and taking us/teaching us along through your journey! 💖🦋🌱
Such great knowledge. I’m so excited to do this! I’m just waiting for God to provide the land 😊 In the meantime.. watching all of your videos! The music is always so beautiful. Tuck is adorable. 😍 I respect your approach to... everything so far haha! You think on a level of humility and thankfulness of the world around you that really shows. Blessings!
With watching your videos I’ve been keeping up with my garden this year. Which is good since we got 6 inches of snow this weekend. I’ve started planning for next year already. 😊 Thanks James and Tuck too!
I'm addicted to your videos. Hope you keep them coming. I get alot from them. And thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences as well as your uplifting and inspirational attitude
3:22 "Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi. "If you want to make the world a better place, Take a look at yourself, and then make a change." - Michael Jackson I've only found your channel and the Back to Eden style of gardening 2 weeks ago. I never had any interest in it at all before this. I have been eating natural whole foods for about 8 months, and I can feel something change in me. You have inspired me to start my own food forest, and I can't wait to dig in and connect with the Earth. Thank you for the inspiration.
James, I love your views and your respect for you food forest including your respect and love for your retired employees and Mr. Tuck. You really are a great human being. I look forward to each new video ty.
James.. I'm not sure "what's growing on" but I'm sending you big big love mate! You've inspired me to dream and do so much! "Well it's a struggle, every day we're stressin' But what's a life without dedication? I'm, I'm gonna pick up that soul's intention To soak in music, relaxation We're feeling good, we're feeling alright, yes We're feeling good, we're feeling alright, yeah...."
thats the key to let the nature works for you and not to work against it, love your small family of chickens & tuc what nice pets you have there not to forget your good taste of country music and driving energy best of luck!
You are inspiring me to get out & get it done. I just love Tuck, he's so cute! Like you even more after I heard your keeping your chickens not because you are necessarily getting from them eggs but because they have earned their retirement. Shows your a good guy. Now I am subscribing.
Great video! I love how the hens are just waiting for you to finish pulling the plants up so they can do their work. And Tuck digging his own veggies is too cute
So I spent most of the evening yesterday watching you're video's. Very impressive on what you have accomplished! It's always great to have you're buddy there when gardening (TUCK). Working on trying you're method since it makes all the sense in the world. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it has been a huge difference from California. We live on 2.5 acres and the land we live on is mostly forest and the break down of everything just makes it possible for everything to grow. We have a abundance of wild mushrooms growing everywhere. So as you can say the light came on with a huge amount of idea's. I'm going to start off small to test it out. A small section of the property....if you have any pointers it would most be appreciated. Just started greenhouse in April of this year and have done good so far with gains and lose but that is how we learn from our mistakes. Again thanks for your time and knowledge it does get the hamster rolling up there with new ideas.
I love these videos too my friend. Everyone should see and learn every aspect of gardening and farming not just the magical harvest day but the hard work you put in throughout the season. Everyone wants to farm till it’s time to do farm stuff 😂 I’m sure I speak for everyone here when I say we appreciate you and your family and tuck. Love you guys!
cant wait to see your next video! it's been soo long since you've posted one. These videos taught me so much and inspired me to create my own food garden, soon to be forest.
Hey, James, we love you, brother. We're all concerned about you because of your sudden change of UA-cam habits. It's got us wondering if you're ill. Anyway, I'm praying, and I bet I'm not the only one.
Looks great brother. I'll be investing all winter; spreading woodchips, composting, watching UA-cam channels like yours to learn new things, pro-tip gardening techniques and also network in my local area to get used to growing in Arizona.
Another great video James. Thanks for taking the time to film this (and thanks to the camera operator too!) and share your thoughts and ideas. I'm slowly building a food forest myself and you are a great encouragement.
You are resourceful.. and definitely, you love what you are doing....thank you for the statements you uttered towards the end of the video regarding "fun" and "enjoyment".. . and THANK YOU for this video...am learning a lot ...
Hi James! I hope everything is OK in your world! We haven't seen or heard from you in 6 weeks. We care about you, fellow lover of gardens and life! How can we help YOU?
I love the joy you have in what you are doing, as well as the interesting tips. Getting ready now for my spring garden (indoors). We cant plant outside until late March early April. But I will be using some techniques you taught me. Thank you for being a blessing to me.
I enjoy these type of videos I'm watching this video and doing my seed starter plants at the same time. I also ordered bare root everbearing strawberries last week and I have placed them in soil and they're already growing green. I'm fortunate to be living in Florida so my garden is looking very lush with a lot of brassicas.
Glad to hear that Katrina! That’s is great, I’m glad to hear you ordered some, I bet they were good quality! Ohhh that is fortunate, I often wonder if a warmer climate would better suit my love for growing. Plus I am a wimp in the cold lol 🤣
I just love your videos!!!! Tuck is so special. What kind of dog is he? How old is he? I don’t know who is working your camera but they do an AMAZING job. I actually don’t get dizzy when I watch your videos. I’m also green with envy. 😊😉😁 I live in zone 5 in central NY and have had snow since November 3. So I am living my gardening life through you for the moment. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Keep the videos coming. I’m learning a LOT and can’t wait to implement my new found knowledge in the spring. Last, should you ever do tours on the weekends I’d be your first in the spring.
Hi James. I was missing you and decided to look you up and see if UA-cam did something funky and I just wasn't getting your notifications anymore. I guess you haven't posted anything lately. Looks like others are looking for you too. Just shows how much you are loved my Brother. Take care and I guess we will here from you soon as the weather will be getting warmer. I am in CT and just bought a Dwarf Honey Crisp Apple Tree and will be buying more (Sweet Cherry, Peach, Pear, and Nectarine) So I need your advise. Take care.
Hello James, I've been a poor at commenting up to now because I binge watch your channel on my TV, but can't comment from there. So here we go, the start of commenting on each video I've watched in the past! I haven't heard of Emerald Carpet Raspberry before, I will look it up and see if it will grow in my corner of Wales. The girls look like they are having a lovely time scratching around, we also have some chickens that have earned their retirement and will stay with us until their time comes naturally. Thanks for sharing your food forest with us.
So nice to see things happening in the (forest) garden this time of year! It definitely inspires me to get out there and get my mulch spread around... I've had a hill of mulch out back for months now and I want to be building that beautiful soil right now!! Thanks for pandering to us Tuck-crazy fools out here! 😁
I love this time of year in the garden. Thanks for making a video and reminding me what there is to be grateful for. Personally, I'm loving spreading my rabbit and sheep poo as part of the mulch.
Love that your dog loves veggies. One set of my garden friend/helpers are my rabbits. I have them for their helpful cold ready to use manure as well as for their fluffy cuteness. They also like to eat of my garden's bounty. It feels good to watch them eat what I share with them from our garden.
Hey brother James, Hope you're feeling better and that all is well, since it's been pretty cold in your area. It has been especially wet here in East TN. Getting ready to start my early spring/late winter vegs. Wish me luck and good luck in this years garden. I'll be watching and liking.
You have a lot of stuff growing there that I've grown before that really worked for me too. But the quite spoken champion that I see is the Mizuna. They were good all around for me, salad, boiled greens, and stir fries. They did great on the shoulder seasons and even through the heat of summer and lightning fast.
Thank you for sharing. I am learning so much. My food forest is in the desert in So Cal. Thanks to your tips I am getting production. I am going into year 4 of my food forest
You are very well read. I believe the salesman and the rain story was a classic zig ziglar. Kind of related he had a great story about the fruiting cherry blossom tree.
I am so excited to see what you decide to plant this year out of that giant collection! I just love all of the wacky varieties Baker Creek offers. Rosita eggplant, Beni Houshi mizuna, Blauhilde bean, Pusa Asita carrot, Crapaudine beet, Lucid Gem tomato- so many varieties it makes my heart burst! (Not very permaculturey of me, I know, but I'll go crazy on perennials when I get to my forever home, I'm sure.) Anytime I'm feeling low and need some inspiration or hopefulness, I flip through the beautiful catalog and read the stories behind the seeds. It never fails to make me smile and feel ready to keep pushing forward. It's like my Bible. I can't wait to hear all about your selections. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you to decide!! Also, I absolutely love your "giant heat mat" idea. Just brilliant! I think about it often, and if it works well for you the next few years, I plan to integrate the same thing into my own greenhouse build. Thank you so much for all you have shared. Permaculture really has changed my life. 🤗
Glad I watched you take these out... I've been uncomfortable with how far my raspberries are spreading and I just couldn't bring myself to take out productive plants. You are right though... it's part of the process.
You are well read.. The two salesman story is one of my favorites. I believe it was Brian Tracy or possibly Zig Ziglar.. I started my first company near the end of 2007, right before the recession and I used the two salesman story to motivate me. I came out of it with a growing successful companies when a lot of my competitors went under. I didn't have much of a choice otherwise I would have starved.
I absolutely love your outlook on the chickens! I'm a huge animal lover who has ended up taking over others pets many times and most ppl sadly think as soon as egg production drops they should be eaten, and that makes me sad. I regrettably am not a vegetarian but eat meat sparingly and would be more than happy to see every animal live to be 'old' before it's discounted as being useless and ready to become food.
Tuck looks like a rat terrier. He is a MAJOR asset to your garden. The viewer can feel the immense ❤️ you have for your pets. I’m going to grow Rutgers Scarlet and Yambu strawberries this year. What’s your opinion of Rutgers Scarlet strawberries? I collect Starbucks coffee grounds. When ppl compost. The worms are tandem.
I want to see more of the indoor gardening. I started by watching your garden videos and now I'm producing microgreens. I'm in Michigan. I'm now learning from the indoor garden so I will know more when I can grow outside.
So glad you play music in the"quiet"moments. How about a video on gloves, I use couple different gloves to protect or to be able to do tasks better when working with several kinds of plants and landscape.
Good to c, u again.... My puppies would sit n wait 4 me to feed them my Broccoli...... LOL. N will only eat organic carrots Watch TV n munch on thier carrot candy. 🥴 Love watching Tuck.
Have you considered leaving perennials like lemon balm through the winter to provide food and shelter for small birds? I've been leaving that stuff standing in the garden till late winter to help support wildlife. :)
Hi James, I missed a few videos. Today I realized I have seen your in while. Good positive attitude makes such a difference. Hope you greenhouse is growing good. I follow a fellow from Nova Scotia, his managed to survive a whole week below zero. He used row covers and extra plastic. Mmm that new raspberry sounds good. Thanks for the video.
Wauw so awesome to see your channel grow! It is so deserved because these videoes are beautiful and full of wisdom. Almost 100k sub that’s huge!! God bless you🌱
Hope everything is going ok man. A lot of people are missing you and your positive vibes. Hope to see you again.....

intelligent dog and a good gardener, too!
Sure do miss you and your beautiful plants! Hope we see you soon!
Thank you brothers James + Tuck!! Say, I would love to see a currant pruning demo!
Thank You James and Tuck .
James I love your grow show 👍👍 I see every episode!! So much too learn form you!! Grow strong gromie 💪💪🇧🇻
I so love your spirit. Wish I had been focused on this when I was younger...I'm an old fart now...but it keeps me energized!
Hi, I hope that you are okay. Miss your videos and your infectious enthusiasm.
I want to see more of the indoor gardening. I started by watching your garden videos and now I'm producing microgreens. I'm in Michigan. I'm now learning from the indoor garden so I will know more when I can grow outside.
I love your vibe. Thanks for teaching.

Nice Tonya!! It’s a delicious one lol. You’re welcome, thanks for the kind words
So glad you play music in the"quiet"moments. How about a video on gloves, I use couple different gloves to protect or to be able to do tasks better when working with several kinds of plants and landscape.

Have you considered leaving perennials like lemon balm through the winter to provide food and shelter for small birds? I've been leaving that stuff standing in the garden till late winter to help support wildlife. :)
Thank you, my friend, for all the information! Knowledge is the key!
Your welcome my friend! Yes it is, the more we know, the make we can grow 😁❤️
Looking forward to your next video.
Oh wow - Tuck is a real cutie. I saw a big German shepherd chomping a big bowl of salad once - dogs have a wider palate than we give them credit for!
The carrot master at it again! He is way too cute!
