This is an awesome addition to the Civic fleet. I hope Honda considers consolidating their car lineup and makes room for what most people want such as a Si Hatch, ventilated seats, and an Accord Type R. Not asking for much! 😂
The omission of rear air vents and rear USB or even a 12v outlet is just silly. A $34k vehicle and what would these things really cost Honda to add? $100 maybe? So kids or adults in the back seat have no charge ports or air vents…..nice.
It's all relative. Go shop for a new car and see what it cost for what you get. Corolla is slightly less but not as much of a car. Toyota will undoubtably introduce a new model but it won't be cheaper.
@@pi.actual Even relative to Corolla, Elantra, K4, it’s expensive. I guess you have to see this as a Prius competitor as they referenced here more so than a Corolla competitor for it to make sense and in that regard, it might be a little nicer. Thing is though, the new Prius also looks nice, also makes near 200 horsepower, also has a nice interior, and it pioneered and perfected this technology too. Don’t get me wrong civic is a nice car, just tough for me to choose it against a Prius, Camry, or heck even accord when all are available for similar price and offer niceties not available on any civic.
@@KNRS927 I bought the sedan a month ago and went through the same process. In the end some feature of one of them is going to hook you and you make a decision. That may be styling, price or just how you fit in it. We should just be happy we have so many choices.
@@pi.actual Fair enough. I just guess its tough for me seeing a starting 30k Civic now when that's what a Camry and Accord start at, both being a class above.
@@KNRS927 I looked at everything. If you want top trim level, which is what I wanted,, the Accord or Camry are $6k more. If you don't care about the trim then you make your choice based on what you want. I liked the Civic style and feel, I had no brand loyalty. I bought this to replace my 1991 Alfa Romeo 164S which has been a beautiful car but I can no longer find parts for it.
How is the city and highway mileage at 50 and 47 respectively while the combined mileage is 36 mpg? How can an average of two numbers be lower than either of them ?
It’s a great car but by the time you add all the additional charges this Civic is going to be very close to 40 grand. Honda must be confident consumers will fork over that kind of money for a Civic. I bought a new 2020 Civic EX hatch for 22,900 less than 4 years ago. Granted, this 2025 is a much better vehicle, but 17k better?
If you are going to buy one you will compare the price, style and features to all of the competing 2025 makes and models, not to something from 4 years ago. The Corolla is slightly less but it is also less of a car.
We’ve also had ridiculous inflation… no cars are going to be what they were 4 years ago, you can’t expect that, this is one of the consequences of inflation.
"That's steep for a Civic." The Civic, you may not have noticed, is no longer an entry level-type car. And no one is making you buy the top trim level.
@@mikejones762 After a period of worldwide inflation, it takes some time for incomes to catch up. Prices don't just drop (deflation is worse for the economy). That's simply how it always goes.
Had mine in the UK since May 2023. Average across every gallon of Petrol has been 57.6mpg (5000 miles so far)
Brilliant car! (Civic Advance)

Si hatchback with a proper dual-clutch transmission would sell like hot pancakes.
That's what Acura is for. You are not gonna get those features in Honda's or it would make Acura's obsolete.
Si Hatch would probably be the Integra.

How will they survive?
50 City 47 HWY 36 MPG Combined? I think the math is off...
My 98 Civic HX gets 37 MPG at 79 miles per hour on the freeway.
Nice catch. The real numbers from Honda's website are: 50 city/45 highway/48 combined mpg
Awesome review. Car looks really nice outside and inside. Price is wild though for a civic.

All this and Honda still won’t give you what you really want, an Si hatchback.
The information on this car is not correct in this video lol
Love this car! Ticks a lot of boxes. Will definitely be considering it in the next year or so.
fixmyrideai AI fixes this. Hatchback gets hybrid treatment.
The Accord Hybrid probably has a better ride. Nearing 40k I would rather reach for the Accord Hybrid. Probably a better value.
Too big and no hatch.
Not accurate presenting of how the power train works unfortunately
Excellent review!
I really hope Honda makes an HR-V hybrid soon and hopefully it's available in this gorgeous Boost Blue
Wanting integra hybrid 😂
I cannot wait to get one this fall.
ngl id rather a hybrid civic then a Si.
Regen setting does not auto reset when in Sport mode, it stays on your selected level.
Starting at 4:03 sounds like ALOT of road noise. 🫤
Honda still hasn't improved noise levels on civics
Topgun ride 💯
Let’s make this the new Accord and discontinue the old, boring and dull Accord. 👍
There's a lot of wrong information presented here - don't know how this passed quality checks
It has way more horsepower than a gas civic. HP is 200 and the regular gas engine civic It’s 150.
seems like the reviewer had no idea of this
I just want the base model. Upgraded rims and low profile tires are prone to rashes

Sweet looking
Civics used to cost less
I’m guessing you meant SI. 😂
It does not have a CVT. Accurate technical info is important in car reviews.

Is cool i love civics I prefer the manual transmission 🎉🎉🎉
At $34k, you'll have a lot of cars to cross shop. That's steep for a civic
the 2015 Civic Hybrid, with navigation & leather, had an MSRP of $27,435 (around $35,521 when adjusted for inflation)

No more music credit?
Great car
It has more HP than the gas model 50 more
For the price, get the new camry
Why is the blue different in the Honda Build website?
Sedan vs. hatch
Too bad it has a ipad sticking out of the dashboard.
What's with the old tech? Small screens etc...
Why is the mileage lower on the hatchback compared to the sedan?
worse aerodynamic
It's also heavier. I'm sure that hatch isn't light, along with a 2 gallon bigger gas tank. Plus who knows what else.

Overpriced
i love my civic… but it’s been the WORST headache… i think it’s time for me to not go back to honda and move on
It’s too bad they dropped that great manual Sport Touring model.
you said 6 speed manual transmission which Honda civic no longer have after 2024 civic sports.
She is my favorite reviewer…could look and listen to her all day…such great authentic delivery and just the right amount of information ❤
No rear AC vents and no rear USB connections. Mostly hard plastic everywhere soon to be a rattle trap. Pass.
