I have had the Poco F2 Pro for close to 3 years and I still love it. MIUI 14 really knocked the screen performance and overall speed out of the park (it,s terrific!). The SD865 is still brilliant, 8k video at 30 or 25 fps; it's 60 hz screen fluency and animation surely cannot be bettered by any 120hz display. Unfortunately it's coming to it's end of life support. I have MIUI 14 but Android 12, and though security is still pretty good (1 February 23) that's not going to last much longer. I also bought the M1 10 Lite 5g a month earlier also from Xioami direct (UK here), update it as a spare, and that has been droppped earlier i.e. MIUI 13 though on Android 12, but security is only to October 22. SOohhh ..... I passed later on the F3 and F4 because I then couldn't afford them. I think the F5 non - pro seems a great phone, especially if /when the price comes down. No proper Macro I'm not big on cameras. I'm a bit of a nerd for Geekbench artificial scoring so I'm impressed with the 7+ gen 2 and glad it's ranked highly. No 8k but again more of a nerdy comparison than something I actually use. 181 gms will be a blessing after my 220gm F2 Pro beast, although you get used to it. First phone I put a temepered glass and spigen case on out of the box. Hopefully I can get one (min 256gb here too) when prices drop lower than the temporary launch deal of £379 from £449 now. 2 further OS updates ( I assume in 2 years) and 3 years security is not great, as that's what I have already and is ending - and xiaomi models offer longer support - but it's enough. Great channel! I had forgotten about it. Now subscribed again. (I unsubscribed everything after the YT username change!)
I hope "Nothing Phone 2" would use this processor and with Telephoto camera it would be excellent 👌 and compite with this phone and Oneplus Nord 3 that would be great 😊
I had poco F1, it worked like a charm. However, Poco intentionally slowed it down by the updated as that phone was performing way better than anyone expected. So I am sure this will happen with F5 as well. There is no brand value due to such things they do.
Been using POCO F1 since last 4½ years. My biggest gripe is the os MiUi. The F1 had two major updates of Miui 11 and 12. And the latter one is worse than than the previous update as it lags quite often. Otherwise the phone works fine. I use Gcam for Camera which just transforms it into pixel quality camera. If the Xiaomi changes its OS like Samsung did with one UI, i would have considered the F5. I'll pass it for some other 7+ gen2 phone. Also, it's crazy how inflated are the price of midrange smartphones. POCO F1 was 19k back when it launched and was bang for your buck. Can't say the same for any new midrange phone.
@@jauharshahbaz Ok but after changing the battery & install pixel experience ROM in POCO F1 you will regret to buy mid range phone. Cause POCO F1 will outperform the current existing mid range phones.

So even if the motherboard is okay at the time of buy, we have witnessed Poco & redmi series with high specs eventually their updates destroyed, cant take a backup and not even we were able to receive call or message notification
Side mounted fingerprint is way more better than in-display fingerprint in mid segment phones. When it comes to premium phones i will choose the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint. For 30k 256 gb base storage and 8gb ram is a wonderful deal with powerful processor and 2 years warranty.....the only downside is i think f5 is missing the E4 amoled display that was in the previous poco f4.
Rather than going for flagship phones, a well optimised phone with 7+ gen 2 with stock android preferably is what most people would prefer. Hardly 5% of the population require the flagship performance of the 8 gen 2 processors
SD 8 Gen 1 (Moto Edge 30 Pro) was available for 30K just a few days ago.....so if someone wants better performance with arguably better cameras and software, why should they go for poco?
Everyone has different priorities.....some want newer phones and some want a cleaner OS....i personally don't care much about how long a phone is getting software updates and care more about the software experience itself.... Also this phone is geared more towards gamers....and in that regard too, MOTO beats poco by offering a better GPU....
@@LolCreations007 at the cost of terrible thermals and reliability issues tho, 8Gen1 can't even sustain a stable fps in games for a few mins due to the terrible thermals. Better look into 8+Gen1 phones at that point imo, miles better than the 8Gen1 in every way.

Not so sure why most people keep leaning towards the "in-display fingerprint scanner" against the physical sensors. If you want to look fancy and follow the trend, sure. Go ahead; the in-display fingerprint scanner looks cool. But are they really secure compared to the physical sensors? Definitely not! This was one of the major reasons phones like Google Pixel 6a had issues with their fingerprint scanner, and any unregistered finger could easily unlock the phone. It's simple, the in-display fingerprint scanners use a camera and capture an image of your finger(s) and are not fingerprint sensors; they heavily rely on the Software to get it working. Any flaw in the Software can easily make it least secure, and your phone can be unlocked even with an unregistered finger or can even be bypassed to not even scan a finger. Plus, they are pretty fragile too. Moreover, if configured correctly, a Physical Fingerprint sensor is much faster than typical in-display ones.

What surprised me about this F5 is that it has headphone jack, whereas the "Pro" model doesn't.
That's because the F5 is based on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, whereas the F5 Pro is based on the Redmi K60.

SD 8 Gen 1 (Moto Edge 30 Pro) was available for 30K just a few days ago.....so if someone wants better performance with arguably better cameras and software, why should they go for poco?
That phone is 1 year old.. so.. again it is almost similar.. so you can't say moto edge is better.. he said it..
I agree on the software front though, i like clean minimalist os, don't know about cameras..
ig the most sensible reason is to avoid the thermal issues of the 8Gen1. 7+Gen2 is essentially a lower clocked 8Gen1 with better efficiency after all.

While the processor is good, why do they not work on the cameras. If the cameras were atleast on par with Nothing Phone 1, this would have been a perfect phone.
My Mi 11X Pro's motherboard is dead (Died - Nobember 10, 2023). Which barely surviuved 2 years 2 months (bought - 2021, September 5), and on the other hand Redmi Note 5 Pro that I bought in 2018 is still running smooth (replaced battery only). I've used Xiaomi Smartphones for almost 9 years. Even though POCO F5 is enticing, I guess I'll not buy Xiaomi again. And before buying any electronics make sure - it has proper cooling system and water resistance (if not keep away from water). Heat and Water are two things that kills electronic devices easily.

Honestly, the main motto of the chip is to bring performance to affordable segments or improves the phone overall, poco f5 at 30k is clearly overpriced considering a sort of budget camera unit packed and i am sure it will go on bbd sale for under 25k for sure,so if someone really wants to buy wait for sale and save around 6-7thousands,also the display is an inferior one, there is almost zero 12bit content to watch and the display is average on basics like brightness, pixel density, pwmm dimming, hdr calibration, plus not to mention miui+motherboard issues,so for me its a solid no!
