Even with the poor quality audio this interview is a real treat. I love the way Simon encourages Julia to speak and express herself. Even the big question at 22:18 Simon says to her "you've got it" and she gives a great answer. Then at 24:06 when asked about upcoming projects Julia answers and looks to Simon for advice, he says "that's all they need to know", then he says he's going back to Australia to start shooting a movie in about three weeks. Simon seems to have mentor qualities that bring out the best in young inexperienced actors including Chloe Moretz, Chris Pine and Zac Efron in 'The Guardian' and more recently Samson Coulter and Ben Spence in 'Breath'. Also Jacob Junior Nayinggul in 'High Ground'.
In the face of an aberrant event such as a sexual violation of a person or being a witness in this case of a girl. Psychologically, she will express herself in different ways to express her trauma. And he will also use his imagination to evade or manifest what happens to him. I only saw the trailer but the excellent interpretation of this acting promise accompanied by a great one like Simon Baker will go a long way. Congratulations!!!

She's a 14 - 15 yr old kid who was 13 when they shot the film and she's the main protagonist of the movie which has a very adult theme, so it probably looks childish on your part to criticize this young actress who has already been getting rave reviews for her portrayal of Blaze!
@@acookie23 WHAT?!? IN CONTRARY! Did you really read my message? I didn't criticize her AT ALL! Didn't I wrote "amazing " ...😉 which in my language translated is not a critical word at all. I find her extraordinary! I love intelligent people, especially when already children and teens have an understanding of the world which some adults will never have.
I read all your replies and it seems as if you are confused in some way! Anyway, to your comment about "if she would not use the word 'cool now and then she would seem like a very intelligent adult - all I have to say is the female interviewer used the word 'cool' twice while Julia used it once, so basically you're trying to say if people use the word 'cool' once or more than once they are dumb adults??
@@acookie23 You understand jokes... regarding the "cool", right?!? I was just "confused" about the bad sound. Besides that I loved the interview very much and I expressed it very clearly in my other comments. So I am only confused about your attacks out of the blue. I never did this to others on social media....
@@dalangie it definitely didn't sound like a joke 🤷🏻♀️ then you said what a great interview and then you said - pity the sound is so bad....so your comments are all over the place but you say that the comment about the 'cool' thing was just a joke!

It's gratifying when Simon turns out to be as generous and perceptive as Jane.
Great interview! Thank you!
Thank you, an interesting interview. I hope, I could see the film also in Germany in the next time.
Beautiful interview. She have really good, articulate answers and Simon is encouraging, lovely and interesting, as usual.

If she would not use the word " cool" now and then she would seem like a very intelligent adult with lots of life experience. Amazing!
