So is it fair to say that every year no matter the market situation IIsc has more data scientist and system roles offers compared to IIT bombay? And on the contrary IIT bombay would have more international placements even if its 1-3 every year compared to IIsc irrespective of the market?
My question was basically heading in the direction that if one aspires to be a system or data scientist would IISc give that slight edge? Not just about this year irrespective of the market

Yes IISc focus more on data science roles, and hence they go for lots of startups even to come up with data science roles. In IITs, as Btech is there..more SDE roles are there.

This is a very tough time for all freshers. FAANG India is not hiring offcampus nowadays. They hired 10 students (Apple -2, Google -3 and Microsoft -5)from Mtech CSE. The selection ratio is 1:10 (Mtech CSE Batch size 100). In the time of the recession, it is quite a good ratio. otherwise FAANG hires 15 to 20 students from Mtech CSE.

Shocked to see that in IIT Bombay also MAANG companies not offering more then 50LPA CTC, used to hear that there are Crores of Packages in IITs
In India 50 lpa is highest you can get for foreign its generally 1 cr package.
Those are quant jobs, no fresher is getting crores in india if it isnt in quant
Uber offered 2.05Cr 2 years back in IITG.
