What a lovely helpful lady you are, I've just got a sewing machine for the first time ever and I'm 60 lol, I shall be turning to your videos for the badly needed help I require lol. Thankyou, new sub from Ireland :-) xx
I am 64 years old and I have NEVER sewn a zipper into anything! Not even in Home Ec! But because of your detailed instructions, I'm going to do it. Ordered zippers and faux leather from Amazon and I'm excited to get started. Thank you Deanna.
When you base your price on cost of materials and they’re on sale, then if you can’t get the same price next time you want be able to make enough money to make it worth it. I think, if I was doing this I would have to base my pricing on retail cost. Just my opinion. Thanks. You do lovely work.
Wow! Great pouches! I just said to my hubby...I never learned how to do zippers! And vollia, there is your great and easy to follow tutorial! Thanks for sharing with us!
You are a gal after my own heart ❤️. These are adorable. Great tutorial one of the best zipper tutorials I have ever seen. Zippers can be a challenge but not with your tutorial. I never sewed with vinyl. You make this look so easy. I have a stash of zippers and fabric. The pouch can be used for so many things. Great job. You are a blessing to all of us
I made 3 of your pouches and I’m so proud of how they turned out! I wanted to include pictures, but I guess I can’t in the comments. Thank you for your wonderful tutorial. It was easy to follow, which I need! 😁 You are a sweetheart. ❤️ I love all your videos! You are very talented.
Love these! I have lots of the faux leather from Hobby Lobby that I use to make earrings! I hadn't thought about using it for little pouches. I will definitely have to make some of these! Tfs!
This video helped me so much. I've been trying to find an easy way to install a zipper on vinyl so the ends of the zipper aren't sunken in. Chef's kiss. TFS. BTW: string, thread, it's giving what it needs to give 😆
Love these pouches! So easy to make. Time to dust off my machine and start making these! I think $8 to $10 is reasonable for these cute pouches. Thank you for your easy tutorial and inspiration!
Great reminder of how to make a pouch! I think now it would cost the 10.00 or even 12.00 due to higher costs. I like to have a loop on side to attach key chain..nice explanation too!
I love how thorough this tutorial was through every step. I know how to sew but seeing every step of the project gave me the confidence to know I could do it. I think $8 is a great price and you could do 2 for $15 as a special. Thanks for sharing!
Perfect pouch like always so cute and a great idea for craft fair. The poms poms add just that extra touch thats great. I think your pricing is great. Have a great day God Bless you! Hugs my friend!
I am making a couple of these right now, I was wondering did you use a different needle for these? I notice it’s sluggish getting through the top stitching… thank you for your awesome detailed tutorials ❤️
Use a silicon presser foot or place wax paper over fabric when top stitching. On vinyl also, you might want to lengthen stitch to a 3 or even 3.5 according to the thickness of the vinyl.
Hello! I know this video is from 2021. However, how did these sell at your craft show? How do your zipper bags sell in general at your craft shows? Thank you.
I LOVE THAT ONE!!! Oh my goodness! I'd give you 10-15 easily! Love that denim blue!! When is you craft fair and would you sell online? Thank you for the detailed video!!!
These pouches are super cute! $8 to $10 is a good price I think. Your tutorials make me want to get a sewing machine and try my hand at sewing! Lol. Take care! Hugs!
Those are so pretty. I can't wait to get a better sewing machine so I can try this. Thank you for doing this Deanne. I also think $8.00 is a fair price. 😀
I want to make this butttt my zippers are 5 inches maybe? So it would be coin purses....BUT the end is closed so is it still possible to use your method and still be able to top stitch? I can’t process..
Now I know what I can do with those faux sheets of leather I have. I bought them for another project that never happened and this looks so easy. I always shy away from zippers but I think I'll give it a try. TY for the tutorial.

Never thought of faux leather! Clever! Can also use thin leather lacing for a zipper pull instead of pom poms.

Very cute pouches. Thank you for your clear instructions.
Thank you for the tutorial. Is there a reason you don’t lengthen your stitch for top stitching?
