The MT10 is an awesome truck. It's fast, jumps good, handles well and it's tough as nails. The stock tires wear out real fast but other than that it's a solid RC. Great job showing it and covering everything. 👍

Lol on your 50 year old man playing with toy car. I'm 60 now and I have been into rc cars since late 1980's! If I had a dollar for every person who commented on how I should grow up( Could probably buy a new 1/5 scale gasser with all upgrades Neighbors,friends and even family made subtle remarks for my hobby. Those who never get it- never will!! You go man!! Fun and diversion what it's all about.
Absolutely if you're having fun not bothering anyone who is it hurting. I still have my 80s Frog and Clodbuster left for the Army got out of the hobby but finding it a fun activity in retirement. Thank you for watching and the comment

As you know the esc is not tunable, however if you go to Razor RC he has a hack to turn down the brakes on the Rival MT10 esc.
Luckily I have a small castle esc I took out of another car looking for a home lol I want to be able to turn the punch up as well. I cant believe they lock out all programming on a esc but thanks for the info and watching.

They need to make a metal spur gear as mine got shredded. My servo didnt last long its got the jitters. Hobbywing 3660 3200KV with 120A esc max10 combo is a great upgrade. Mine goes 50mph on 15T no heating issues with fan and heatsink.
Dumbo rc Ddf350 transmitter can give you gyro with 6 channel reciver.
Fastraxs makes cool Aluminum upgrades.
Are u using thicker than 100k in the diff? I hear of some people stripping spurs but ive got a pretty fast system in mine too 3660 4300kv and Max10 120 amp and as long i dont land under lots of throttle and keep the mesh right,100k or less it last quite a while. The motor mount will shift on hard landings and tear it up quick tho. Get any cogging from a dead stop and full throttle w that 15 tooth? Helion had a metal spur for it. Wish TA or someone wud jump on some more upgrades.
@cds1223 No cogging at all at dead stop with the 15T, could probably gear higher with this setup but MT10 V2 body catches alot of wind at full throttle. Yea as you said the motor may have moved or didn't get mesh perfect that's what caused it to tear it up I think. It had a click for a while but couldn't solve it, so I just run it till something breaks lol
I recently serviced all diffs with recommended fluid.

There is now a rival to the Rival MT10, no pun intended. That is the brand new HPI/Maverick Quantum2 MT Flux. It is proving as tough as nails by those that have one, about the same size as the Rival MT10 & around the same speed. The Quantum2 Flux is a lot cheaper than the Rival MT10 as well.
Wish I could find one where I’m at !

Yeah im liking that truck! Already have the 10MT/MT10 tho. But im hoping the Q2 will stick around if i want another 1/10. Hpi cud come out wth some upgrades too. TA isn’t doing well on upgrades for it being such a popular truck and the Pro4 is the same w the longer chassis. The original version of it the Helion Avenge 10MT and 10SC had more in its short run than TA has done with it in this long now.
Is it ok to put a spectrum 120 esc in a granite or does it heat everythjng up and ruin gears ? I seen them @ Jenny’s
@Hungrybird474 if the esc is larger than what is needed it will run cooler because its not working very hard. Especially if your not running at max power like if its a 6s and its on 4s its very easy. I took the esc out if this put it in my Typhon grom without a fan the car is so light and esc is so much more than what it needs it stays cool
The motor mount is in desperate need of a redesign to strengthen it. I find on sends the motor can slip and chew up the spur gear. I've also snapped 2 motor shafts between the motor housing and the pinion gear, the 3mm shaft is very weak on the stock motor. first time was on a tiny nothing of a hit, the second time was doing massive sends out of a skatepark bowl.
I have seen a lot of that on the facebook group, Personally I dont do big air and if I want to jump I will use the Xmaxx or the 6s Kraton really flies I dont know why this is used as a big air basher it is obviously past the design limits its a good rc for running around the yard and reasonable jumps but not skate park bashing the body is too thin there is not enough power stock for that. Yeah if its tweaking on small hits thats a problem so far I havent had that problem I thinned the shocks down to 30wt and it lands a lot better it doesnt do that hop which is why I think so many break the control arms the shocks are too stiff then I added a castle sidewinder esc which really woke this up I can ride some wheelies now. I have a vid up on all of that. Hopefully it will hold together I know the body posts are horrible I have already lost 2 pins and 1 mount I swapped out for tighter pins and glued it in.
I live in the uk and a company called crcu does an awesome mount I run it on mine and it hasn’t moved a micron out of place or bent. Proper 7075 billet.
RPM arms and a 10BL Hobbywing combo and it's really that good. I think so at least. I like my big scale rigs more but i drive the smaller ones more often. There's a lot to be said for not having to care if it breaks or not.
I think the motor is fine its the esc thats crap because they have it locked. I have one laying around I am going to throw in. I like the larger stuff as well the 8s is fun but heavy I am really into the 6s lineup I purchased this for the channel to review and enrich myself in something that is not the 2 other brands lol
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife I hear that. I have all the major big ones except a XRT. My overall favorite is the Fireteam. It's just the perfect mix of big, tough, powerful, fast, and handles great. I'm hoping the new Redcat will be up top too. I still prefer the 8s Outcast EXB for big bashers but I've not really had the Vigilante long enough to have an opinion yet. It's definitely not bad at anything and handles better than the Xmaxx. I have a set of the new Outcast Backflips to put on it and think they will make it even better.

Thank you very much. I use a gopro for most of it the ramp shots and a lot of the vehicle driving I use the insta360 one x2 360 camera on board shots stuck to the side of the cr or the plexi mount I made I use the insta 360 go2

My Rlaarlo Omni-Terminator shipped from California today brother!!! Yee-Haw!!! I got the carbon fiber edition for the bigger motor and better radio/gyro… I think you need one… they are next level… blow that MT10 clean out of the water 💦!! And if you put the $100 more that the MT10 costs and put it into the Terminator…😳wow!
Congrats getting yours thats why I mentioned it I wanted to say it would be a wake up call for other companies but I feel they blew it UA-camrs put this out way too early as in before they were capable of shipping them that is ass backwards they should have had them ready then did the release and within a week or day of release have them ready to go the fan fare has died down now its still interesting lets see how durable and how easy parts will be to get we definitely need completion here to keep other companies on their toes

Did it actually ship? I got the email but when I click the tracking number it just says label created by FedEx but that they haven't received the actual package yet.
@@boduke9428 same here… shows it waiting to be picked up in Southern California… but since it’s a FedEx label created we are good. They will ship out before Monday afternoon 🤙🏻
@@RC-Closer1313 just got an text from FedEx that it's actually shipping now. Supposed to be delivered before end of day Tuesday. Hopefully we will finally get them.
Don't ya love how Traxxhole patented a sealed electronics box that Tamiya was using 20 years before Traxxhole even existed... And btw the reason Tamiya didn't patent it , is because they stole the idea from other already existing applications...

Kind of like a valve cover that everything to a lawn mower uses a lid with a gasket bolted down to keep oil in or gopro initially the had a clasp design with a seal to keep the gopro dry Arrma still has them so there must be a work around yes they are afraid of them I asked Corally they said the same Traxxas had a patent it is pathetic they sue to stay ahead.

Also, this is one of the trucks I recommend to someone who wants to get into the hobby and start out with a 3S capable truck. It’s pretty darn durable and it’s a good price. Also the arrma 3s line
Lol glad you liked the intro I use a 360 camera at the ramp that way I can record all angles I can get the take off and landing without moving the camera.
That was a great idea. I thought it looked awesome using that camera angle.
@Adubbs87 thank you its more work I have to edit it separately in 360 studio then I can send it to my regular editor software but I struggle to stand in front of the ramp and actually launch it somewhat good lol I have to stand behind it
Oh yeah, it’s a completely different angle when you’re standing in front of the ramp. Back in the day I used to make videos and it just takes practice. Everything is reversed from the normal when you are standing behind the ramp. It’s hard though because as you get faster it’s harder to control it and I know for me personally when I felt like it was starting to go bad I would turn too fast lol and most of the time the wrong way lol. It’s a shame that it takes so much work for those camera angles but they did look freaking awesome.

For the price point it was what I expected. The wheelie bar breaking was disappointing. I hope your overly disappointed in the 60amp ESC, No motor fan seems to be an issue these days. Oh well Easy upgrade. Enjoyed Watching Larry get his new RC Car Smell Addiction fed.
I am getting a bit peeved that manufacturers are locking esc's for some reason there is no need to do that we purchase the cars esc and all I bet they get a discount to lock them so when we want to make changes we have to buy a new esc. Other than that its a decent rc hard to find anything brushless at this price point.
I want to get this truck, I have a wltoys already and had previous bashers about 3 years ago and got back into the hobby, what esc do you recommend as an upgrade and should I stick to 3s or can the motor and drivetrain handle 4? Thanks and awesome video, I love the editing style you have!
First I would stay 3s this is a very light rc and 4s will be a handful and its not the most robust rc I follow a facebook group and see a lot of people that modify them need a lot of parts. I am no expert on esc's I put in a Castle sct and its doing good I am happy this thing will wheelie for days now check out the video I did with the upgrade, other than that the Hobby wing 10bl120 or a max 10 should do good for this,

If you are dead set on 4s get a Kraton or Outcast or the Syncro4 from Team Corally they are designed to take the power The Omni Terminator is a cool rc and its a nice price you have a real small battery tray and its already a bit to handle on 3s when you want to overpower these things your going to start breaking stuff then it gets expensive to keep it running

Also I won’t get 4s until I add aluminum hop ups in some weak points after I give it a shake down

Max ten hobbywing esc, tone down breaking, hav one on mine, or razor rc, shows to hack breaking with stock esc, 🤔👍
I have another video I put in a castle sidewinder it is a beast now as you know braking is one issue for sure but there was a total lack of power so to me the brake hack wasnt worth it because it didnt fix the performance issue usually I wouldn't say go with a new esc but fotr this rc to see its real potential its a must. @RC-Closer1313 lol no nothing like that in the workshop shed deal its just tin. I have the spray foam they want the cans to stay over a certain temperature its still getting a bit cold at night just waiting for it to warm up I hope this works because the a.c. in there is loud hopefully I can cool it off film then turn it back on.

Yeah that net is a poorly executed idea I have not seen 1 person using it and honestly the rc doesnt get that dirty inside now that maxx slash wow what a trash bin it becomes lol. Thank you for the kind words
My issue with the mt10 is they started off cheaper (that's how it got it's claim to fame) but pretty much all the other companies, as their line got older , lowered their prices ... Not associated it went up to where the others started off, now there's better for less $$ QUANTUM 😉
