Thanks for all your advice and tips! Great channel with practical demonstrations. Cant get any better advice then from an experienced plumber. Just wanted to say a big thank you for taking the time to share your skills with us DIYers. Enjoy your retirement as you've earned it! But plse drop us a video now and again when an interesting topic arises. Take Care, Good Health and I wish you a happy retirement :-)
Ive just discovered your channel and it is great, real good advice straight to the point and a practical demonstration at every turn. Ill head over to your forum as ive got a question about how to replace a toilet pan when the old one is fitted to a lead waste pipe which is at an angle and the connection to the cast iron is buried in the wall. Im sure youll have the answer.
HI Tom...Nice to see you back..and hope you are enjoying your retirement. Recently I was called to a leaking Gate Valve.....not leaking from the packing gland but leaking from where you split the valve body..as in your Gate Valve video....Is there a way to stop the small drip from this point without draining the system...can it be loosened a little and PTFE tape or similar wrapped around the thread....or perhaps a leak sealer applied to the header tank???? Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
ningis21 you would be heavily risking a flood by not draining and repairing it doesn’t take long to turn off and drain a tank and replace the valve which is definitely the safest and quickest way
Thanks for making these videos Tom. Very helpful

I got one of those spanners on your recommendation and it is definitely my favourite!
Can you put a link here to the adjustable and the pump pliers, I couldn't find them on your boards.
