I dunno if you've already bought one but a if I were in the 125 market, i'd get either the Suzuki GSX-S125 or GSX-R125. Bro love the bike!!! Wonder if you have any nice alternatives to the YZF r125. Looking to get one soon next year but I'm kinda broke 😭. Insurance and everything else in the UK is so expensive as well which makes it even harder.
Oughh that's a tough question, i think anything that isn't a supermoto is inherently more expensive. But unfortunately I don't know much about other bikes either... So I can't give you a really good alternative. Sorry
Yes, the UK is not a good place for bikes. Insurance fees are astronomical, you need to make really good money to afford any bike, and most 16-18 year olds can't, which is why you see them mostly on those mopeds lol. There are poor countries where people can't afford those things anyway, the UK is not one of them, I don't understand why they have this prohibitive insurance system there. And it's not just this, all those speed traps and speed cameras everywhere, the really prohibitive speed limits, it's just not a good place for bikes unfortunately. Which is something I understand, I mean, fast sportbikes might wreck your royal silk underwear and the wind will wreck your suit and tie, totally understandable. They should just relax a bit in the north though, and let those people do their thing.
I live in the uk and and what I’ve found to be an option is the ktm rc 125 if you want a sportbike. I’ve had mine a couple months , it handles amazingly, you can get 84 miles an hour out of it , mines is on 25000 miles and has had no issues and my brothers did 38000 and never complained one bit.
