    This looks like any city in Africa... The people look like Nigerians and other Africans with similar facial structure and symmetry. If I didn't see the title I would have thought It was in a city in Africa. I live in Lagos Nigeria. I feel a connection to the people i see in this video.. Plus the Afrobeats sound track in the video. Nice work, peace from Naija.

    Your 'real streets' of Haiti are the best and most interesting videos that I have seen Philly ! I really like the sharp HD details with little camera shake - it also good to see the people close up as they walk the streets or sit by their stalls . I hope that you will be able to return to Haiti when it is safe for you to do so 🙂

      @@PhillyDom No problem brother. That is my childhood neighborhood. My primary school St-Jean L'evangeliste is right there. Turgeau was an upper middle-class area back in the seventies with no merchants on the sidewalks. That main street was a two way street. Baby doc made it one way and renamed it Avenue Jean-Claude Duvalier. After his fall it was renamed Pope John Paul Avenue. Ahh the memories.

      Yea he keeps exaggerating with Chicago and Philly. Not only that but unlike Haiti/Port au Prince, Chicago violent areas are isolated, and Chicago actually has better security and infrastructure throughout the city. The comparison is weak.

    Something caught my attention : this is one of the poorest country in the world yet absolutely no one has the idea to ride a bike instead of motorcycle and cars??? Do the same 16 min video in Berlin or Amsterdam streets and you'll see bikes every 30 seconds. Just saying 🤷🏾‍♂️

    • @waynepond8748
      @waynepond8748 3 роки тому +2

      Perhaps the congestion of traffic and not many designated bicycle lanes may dissuade people from bicycle ridding. The weather may also affect ones decision to go bike ridding. Cities are generally hotter than other parts of a country and Haiti is situated in the tropics.
