There is one very niche use for the retractable helmet I’ve found, and that’s when using Continual Flame on something the character has on their head, like a hood or, if the DM allows it, their hair. Then you’re able to reveal or cover this never-ending light source as a bonus action.
So the best part about artificer is that unlike other magic casters they are basically given free reign on how to flavor the spell. Ive seen acid splash be flavored as a bubble emerging from a magical firearm, a bottle thrown into the air, a small grenade, and as a liquid excreted from the palms.
Love to see the Armorer, just got to level 9 in my west march game with my Axolotl Armorer artificer (which was a reskined Locatha and have a fishbowl with water as part of the armor). Though sadly with them getting expertese with all tools, tools in of themselves dont have a lot of uses without the optional tool rules in Xanathar's. Let alone no good crafting system for 5e.
Im playing DND in a server and Artificers slowly become rich AF because of that 10th level feature, and 6th level feature, and a all purpose tool +[1/2/3] since we have a “days available for your character to do stuff” system
I can't recommend KibblesCraftingCompendium enough. This homebrew system allows many tools to actually be useful again and creates an environment where crafting is possible without weeks of downtime
The only problem I have with Armorer is that there are no really interesting boot infusions so you never really get anything cool from Boots after 9th level. And there's only one boot infusion
Boots of striding and springing, boots of the winterlands, boots of speed, boots of levitation, boots of elvenkind, winged boots, slippers of spider climbing, boots of the winding path, are all Artificer infusions, but if you don't choose winged boots you're a fool.
Excuse me?! _Electrifying_ punches?! You think thunder damage is electric?! Bish, literally the other model does _lightning_ damage. That should be a [youtube]ing hint as to what thunder actually means.
I mean if you look at the illustration it looks pretty electrifying to me, and there's nothing that says the thunder cannot be generated by arcane electricity
I’ve honestly never been interested in the artificer…until this video. You really sold me on it I think I’ll go for a tank build on my next game!
Yea go for it Space Cadet, hope you have a good time!

Wooo, this one is my favorite subclass in the game. Once it came out I immediately fell in love with it.
The Armorer is indeed a thematically cool subclass that has the mechanics to back up its style.
Me, too (if you don't count Dragon Riders), mostly because I love Rhino (warframe)
you have no idea how much you help inspire my players, thank you keep it up
I'm truly glad that the videos are helpful and I wish you and your players well.
YAY my favorite artificer subclass! Keep up the amazing work!
Hope you enjoy the video Airum and thank you for the encouragement!

You are very talented at making videos. Keep it up!
Those are very kind words and I really appreciate them. Thank you.
This is great!
Thanks!
Thank you greyscales great job
I'm glad you liked it!
Always excited to see one of your videos.
Artificer is one of my favorite classes tho I’m more of an artillerist lol
Yea, the Artificer base class is genuinely cool in how the infusion system works and all of the subclasses are pretty unique as well.

An aquatic creature that uses its fishbowl as its Arcane Armor is a pretty cool idea!

Sad they don’t get sunbeam
It also says they are weapons so booming blade
I used this class to turn my little girl duergar into a mecha driver 😂

Winged boots is all i need

Free flight isn’t interesting?
