I made a match 10 min ago. My opponent has 2901 overall my team 3245. He used 4-2-2-2 quick counter formation and the match ended 1-1. I couldnt take the ball while he passes. This tactic is so epic i think.
Most important thing is your skill. Malaysian guy destroyed every 4222 meta game plan players . He was using 4213 so wide … in LBC . So it’s all about skill ..
I have an interesting quick counter attack tactic for you to test. I'm using 3-4-3 with 2 CFs, 1 SS behind the CFs, 2 DMFs and 2 CMFs with LMF or RMF being one of the player's positions since I'm putting them wide on the formation (CMF is helping for easy cuts inside during counters). The central CB is a destroyer and the other 2 are either build up or defense fb which also have defensive indv instructions. In DMF I'm using 1AM with deep line instruction and an orchestrator like Kimmich, De Jong etc. but a destroyer or another AM can be good there. The CMFs are either CP, orchestrators, b2b, hole player. The SS can be a CP, dummy runner, prolific winger or rf. Both CFs I'm using are GPs but fox in the box can be good as well. Give on your best CF the counter target instruction as well. Sorry for the essay for those who will read it but i had to give some details.

Its kind of a tradeoff with box to box you're sure youll have 5 attackers and if their formation has 3/4 defenders you'll overload them but if you lose the ball youre cmf will almost always be out of position and if your fullback also made a run. Youll have 4 defenders. With an orchestrator you're sure hell be there to help defensively and if your full back makes a run youll still have 6 defenders but in the final third youll have 4 attackers alot of the time missing that extra man you need to overload

You should put the Build up CB same side as the attacking FB and the Destroyer CB next to the Defensive FB
If you do this you wont be able to exploit offside trap
