I received a letter on October 13th, it was dated September 23. I received a flier in February 23 for Christmas sales in 22. Before DeJoy, I would receive my mail within 3-4 days. This has actually caused problems with receiving and paying bills, as well as important tax and medically relevant deliveries. If he stays in till 2024, the ballots will be stacked under tables and rollers and not delivered. Hopefully the damage he has done will be reversible. He has to go!
They want your junk mail to be delivered in a Mercedes van, and they want you to pay for the privilege. Privatization means a postage stamp will cost $5, unless you are a big corporation.
Proof we all aren’t taking this seriously enough.
As someone whis going to be working at fedex i hate that our mail system has been given to companies instead of being controlled by the government especially considering the hostory of it and how it was gov operated before these companies
I worked at the post office, it was great until amazon started sending us 110% of their packages.. we had a 500% work load increase.. doubled my hours (our pay remains the same regardless of hours) our pay also didnt rise up.. they just completely ass blasted us and with this idiots new chsnges i straight up quit
yep but especially in the area i have to live at rn There is a amazon facility but the fun part is most of those packeges ive seen going to places like fedex and ups its so gross overworking people cause you dont have enough staff to keep doing in your own company and expect then to work for the lowest wage possible. Thats why if worst comes to worst Im gonna start looking into worker organizing and unionization efforts if it comes to it cause I need this job to pay for welding classes and rent and food

I'm getting mail once a week now in Kansas City. It took over a week to get an important letter from Massachusetts. Local post offices are often closed due to personnel problems. Something is terribly wrong with the Post Office and the clown at the top needs to go by hook or by crook!
That's what he was sent there to do. "Govt doesn't work! See look at how terrible I am running this? Do you want more of this? No, you should let companies run it and get a tax cut!"
Meanwhile, you end up paying 300% more for no oversight...
It sucks that USPS is being run by this guy. My business needs USPS and they have been horrible to deal with. It’s not the fault of the workers, but so many things get lost now and it’s absurd.
They did a bad job in this segment. There was an article months ago about Dejoy and why he hasn’t been replaced. The guy is extremely competitive and doesn’t like to fail. He hasn’t been replaced because he’s actually trying to fix the usps.

My mail service since DeJoy took over is a disaster. Sometimes I get mail at 10 pm at night. Sometimes not at all. Sometimes it’s 9 am. It’s a mess
I’m a new postal worker/mail carrier and we get paid by route not hourly and these route, I have been told (by the old timers), have drastically gone down in evaluation (how we get paid) ever since DeJoy came in. Scanners don’t work, hiccups in our pay, bottom tiered newcomers like myself get pressured and discouraged by management to do the job faster rather than better, shit 40+ year old trucks that break down every single day (I wish I was exaggerating on this one), promised new trucks for years now but some how deadline gets pushed back every year and the worst of all. We CANNOT STRIKE!!
Shit needs to change soon or your Mail will be delivered by “privacy invading” companies or “pay a fee” to get your Mail faster companies like Amazon.
I've been a city carrier for about 5 years. Never heard of a carrier not getting paid hourly. I know Rural carries get paid by milage in some way though. Otherwise yeah post office is pretty screwed right now
@@jtkconection I’m on the rural side. And regulars get paid in some sort of like mileage and hourly and some other ways I can’t really understand hence the emphasis on scanning all the box holders or “wraps”. They make it confusing. Subs like me for the most part get paid hourly.
The rural side got pay cut at the same time Amazon dumped on us. Had so many quit and retire over this. 6 months later they are getting partial compensation for the increased work but will take 6 more months to get full compensation

It’s cause Dejoy is in charge of another mail/shipping company. He’s making the Post Office terrible on purpose. (FYI his company lost two refrigerators my family bought so also goes to show his company is garbage, so ya gotta make the Post Office even worse)

He owns stock in USPS competitors -- FedEx, UPS -- then made a deal to take their packages too (makes mail delivery faster, right? Lol). I thought government "doesn't work" and that's why the Right cries it needs to be privatized? Smh...

Since he took over there's been some serious undermining of the work force. There have been a lot of rural carriers who have simply not gotten paid for going on 3 pay periods now. The first time it happened it was attributed to some computer glitch. If that was the case, the post office has been in no hurry to fix it. Also rural carriers switched over to a decade long gestating digital pay system that was supposed to track the actual work done. It's implementation was contingent upon the carriers having access to all the data used to calculate their pay. Conveniently the USPS can't figure out how to do that and the report by the panel that created the software could only be gotten by the union through a FOIA request. But wouldn't you know it, 90% of it is blacked out as if it was a top secret weapons system.
Man it's almost as if these two parties are actually just one party serving one interest.
All elections through the post office. Vote by mail or at post offices. No more volunteer election staff.

He did interfere with mail in ballots. Mail in ballots were purposely not delivered on time so they couldnt be counted in swing states. Biden won anyway, but there was an attempt to cheat.
It took Trump close to four years to install DeJoy in the first place.

In my personal experience, I have not received several pieces of mail that was quite important, such as court documents and items that needed a timely response from me. Not getting them is still causing me grief, as in monetary loses, missed deadlines, etc. I've found a few "certified letters" in my mailbox and that's *not* how it's supposed to work! They've reported to Amazon that items were delivered to the locked parcel containers that have *not* been delivered and guess who pays for that? The PO is "untouchable" and for decades I'd agree - but sadly, that's not true any longer. He wants to run it into the ground so he can privatise it and use his company to swoop in and "save" the day. POS
