For whatever reason i see everyone ive ever known treat jevil like a hyper complex charecter. In reality however he is just his concept in his simplest form. Some one who belives insanity is the only true freedom makes as much sence as it doesnt just like jevil. Theres alot more you can do with the concept and i would love to see someone build on the concept.

There are reasons why people regard Jevil as a complex character: Because, unlike you, they've not taken him at such a reductive face value. They note what Seam says about him and the reasons behind his madness, they note that Jevil makes meta observations, they note that Jevil was locked in a 3d room and has bullet patterns that rotate along a horizontal axis around the bullet board... Everything points to Jevil being, in reality, much deeper than your "he is just his concept in his simplest form" take on him.

I- I hadn't even heard of deltarune until I found this song, yet you're right... Dimentio? Jevil seems like a nod to him while still being his own character. I'm impressed, Toby Fox. Still, this feels nostalgic even without the connection to Dimentio. And I love that. It gives off the feeling that he is just reminding you of the vague rules of our existence.

For whatever reason i see everyone ive ever known treat jevil like a hyper complex charecter. In reality however he is just his concept in his simplest form. Some one who belives insanity is the only true freedom makes as much sence as it doesnt just like jevil. Theres alot more you can do with the concept and i would love to see someone build on the concept.
That is certainly an interpretation you've got of him... I don't put any stock in it though. There are reasons why people regard Jevil as a complex character: Because, unlike you, they've not taken him at such a reductive face value. They note what Seam says about him and the reasons behind his madness, they note that Jevil makes meta observations, they note that Jevil was locked in a 3d room and has bullet patterns that rotate along a horizontal axis around the bullet board... Everything points to Jevil being, in reality, much deeper than your "he is just his concept in his simplest form" take on him.

I- I hadn't even heard of deltarune until I found this song, yet you're right... Dimentio? Jevil seems like a nod to him while still being his own character. I'm impressed, Toby Fox. Still, this feels nostalgic even without the connection to Dimentio. And I love that. It gives off the feeling that he is just reminding you of the vague rules of our existence.
