I am a wheelchair user. As the bus approached my destination, I pressed the blue buzzer, and the special siren alert rang clearly. The driver ignored it, ignored the visual alert on his dashboard, didn't deploy the ramp, didn't let me alight, and pulled off with me still onboard.
I had to call to the driver "Stop the bus!! I pressed the blue buzzer!!" Only then did he stop and deploy the ramp as requested.
The driver made no apology for ignoring my request and in fact did not utter a single word to me. This is intolerably rude.
It is NOT acceptable to ignore a passenger in this way. It is rude, and it causes stress, distress and anxiety to a passenger to be ignored like this when the passenger has clearly signalled a wish to alight at the next stop.
