Pragg has been seriously experimenting with openings and more. He played novelties during candidates too but ran into a calm Gukesh very early who managed to thwart him.

I think a la Fischer there's more merit in experimenting off the beaten path than memorising lines (which is stupid and anti-spirit of hcess). I would love to see a classic time format Fischer Random tournament but for political reasons we are deprived.

Pragg just laid Anish across his skinny knees and spanked him as though Giri was a club level patzer! Holy shite, what an attack! Beautiful, completely insane, but the combinations and bishop forks are so elegant! Phantastic game and analysis. This really shows the great abilities of these top players when they stay away from the Blitz type games. It also demonstrates the supermodern approach to chess. As said in the video, it looked like a Morphy massacre would happen to White but instead, Black was outplayed in very sophisticated fashion.
One can only wonder, would that have happened to the incomparable Morphy himself or would he have found something extra special?

The Be3 line looked far trickier if Black plays Bxe3 instead of exf3. Likewise, both b+k vs. 2r endgames didn't look "crushing" for White. It's harder to coordinate two minor pieces and White's pawns are all over the place, so not exactly a done deal.

You don't seem to understand the essence of chess.
A fight with your mind will always outdo a fight with your body.

There’s a video of Hikaru fighting a guy. Hanson? Can’t remember his name. He’s a Chess Brah or something. Search drunk Hikaru fighting. It’s funny. Fabiano is in the video too, just talking calmly as he watches the fight. Lol

I wish you would go through just the game they play instead of stopping every 5 moves and show 10 different moves they could have played 😢 It makes it very difficult to follow.....you should do those extra options at the end AFTER you have been through the game

      I completely disagree.
It‘s very important to understand and then appreciate the exact moment when a intense position occurs and strong move or huge miss was played.
