Thanks a million for this tutorial. It took me a bit to get it working on my own app as the translation of some things wasn't quite as smooth as expected! Nevertheless, it's now working and I'd have never got to this point without this video -- thanks!!

Hi Austin - I have just discovered App Sheets and I am desperate to learn how to create multiple user logins and have an individual password for each person. I am a contractor that sub-contracts out work to multiple contractors throughout the city. I need to collect data from them (which is recorded on google sheets) individually and its imperative I know who each person is. Could you make a video please about how a beginner in coding and app sheets like myself could create a simple login page? It would be greatly appreciated if you could. I have searched high and low across the internet for someone that covers login/username/password set up, and I havent found one (in english) that explains it slowly and methodically. I dont have any coding experience and brand new to app sheets. Thanking you in advance, John. P.s. your videos are fantastic for beginners!

Hi John! You can manage user passwords in AppSheet, but you can require users to login with Google or other cloud account.
This video covers how to show users data based on their login information. ua-cam.com/video/2Z2qUTtxNFA/v-deo.html

@@AppSheetTraining Hi, Thanks for you quick response! I'v got that video marked to watch but i havent sat down yet and gone through it. I'll do that after I sleep.
I don’t have a profession coding background and I am as new to app creation as it comes and discovering App Sheets 48 hours ago, its all I have being trying to learn. Im really excited because the benefits of this platform are enormous.
I am struggling to understand formulas and how they relate to the operation of the app. I watched a UA-cam video today from a teenager developing a signup page and password on app sheets by referencing different tables/spreadsheets. With him being young, I struggled to follow his training approach and language barrier (he was Indian and I’m from Australia).
I was lead to believe, from what he was saying, the only way to set up a login page was through the “pay per user” subscription? Is this correct? He showed going to My account>Billing and selecting plan class - either "pay by user(secure)" or "pay by app (public)
Naturally, there were formulas involved in how he did what he did. I am currently reading up on expressions help to familiarise myself, hence my request for a better training video to be uploaded on UA-cam? I am more of a visual learner. If I can see someone do it and spell it out for me first I'll get the hang of it.
Otherwise, are you saying that my clients must have a google account (being the most common provider) to access my custom app? Surely there is a technique and methodology to set up individual passwords to login to my custom designed app?
I have put the link of the video I watched today below:
      ua-cam.com/video/QZ-S9ikMVB8/v-deo.html
It isn't a great quality video but it specifically references what I would like to achieve. It might not be the most secure way but it at least shows my clients I have some sort of control over who can access entering data.
If you have some time, could you skip through the video and see what he does by using formula technique to develop a login page, username and password please? I would like to hear your opinion on it and if its possible for you to produce a better quality and methodical approach to it for newbies like me.
      Cheers
      John

Hi John. Glad to see you excited about what AppSheet can do. There are a lot of amazing tools that require no code, and some specialize in different areas.
AppSheet focuses on apps that are designed to be used inside ones own company. That’s why they have a pay per user model and don’t offer custom login.
You can learn more about what AppSheet can and can’t do in this video ua-cam.com/video/JxiSeoQWrw8/v-deo.html
My suspicion is that AppSheet won’t support the type of app that you want to build. Something like Adalo, Glide.io or Bubble.io might be better for what you’re trying to build.

John, you could add your suppliers/users, and then they will be able to use your app login by their e-mail. You will have to pay by active user. Only users added by you can use the app.
