If the solution here is to sell all your assets and pay the CGT - what is the point of moving!?! Instead why not just reinvest the capital in a company structure that ensures the he value of the company goes directly to the kids?
That is possible provided the assets are in a company and you have a SMART company structure. However, what about your home, art, cars, bank accounts etc. this would be subject to IHT but not necessarily CGT.

I didn't learn much in this video. I still don't know how you can pull off the 0% IHT by going to Spain. Won't you be subject to paying IHT in your destination country? Most people might be better off staying in the UK and using the 500K allowance wisely.
There are many people in my position that would pay a lot of inheritance tax hence moving to a lower tax country that was shown in the table towards the back end of the video
Simon, IHT in Spain is 34%. Why did you escape the UK over 6% when you could have planned your finances smartly in the UK, isn't this the kind of service you're selling? If one were to live in the UK but own a burial plot in a zero IHT country (say UAE, KSA, Iraq, Israel, etc..) and upon death in the UK their remains are shipped abroad & buried there, what impact will this have on their UK IHT liability?
You might need to do more research. Spain inheritance tax is not 34% as each region declares there own estate tax charge. Andalusia death tax is 1% over €1n This is smart for me, no? Plus I left the UK for many reasons but smart enough to choose my place to live. Having a burial plot is a myth. It is we’re you intend to live and die that matters

What if you are the recipient of an estate but left the UK 20 years ago and haven't paid tax or NI contributions in the UK since?

I want to move to Costa Rica! They have amazing nature and people are so very nice! Oh, yes, and income tax is only 20%
Have a great new life in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 🤞🙏
We’re looking at Dubai and Switzerland.
Very different weather and culturally those countries 👍
What if you sell property and leace but you still have the SIPP and ISAs active .does this still attract IHT on the Property sold ?
This is a bit too complex to answer here sadly
