- Listen … this video is long. I was going to just do a short clip cuz so many people are in a hurry these days but it ain’t about the numbers. For those of you who’ve not heard this song before, I want you to spend the 5 minutes or so to watch and listen for so many reasons.
First of all, my beloved community of Diamond Debheads floored me by buying and handing out a gazillion light up champagne glasses for the entire audience in Cincinnati, Ohio and instructing them as to when to raise them! So moved ! I had zero clue !
Also, despite the fact that I Iove doing fun, comical, sexy, social media posts … I’m a songwriter and artist at the core of all I do. It’s how we all connected to begin with and my songwriter heart was never happier than when a handful of songs dropped in … and "Cheers" is one of those songs as it speaks to living in gratitude equating to not living in lack. Savor each simple moment and each special person in your life.
Recording and Touring independently is hard. I’m by no means complaining about my incredible life but, I always keep it real. The investment and details to rebuild and reconnect and, like my earliest mission, to get the music past the gatekeepers and to the people on my own terms is an investment like no other. So , moments like these let me know… not only are we doing it, but at a high calibur and in a unique way that is creating the most rare moments unique to this community on The Body Remembers Encore Tour. I was a Debbie Gibson fan since the mid 1980's but today I un-subscribed and will no longer support Debbie Gibson in any way. She still supports the Pride movement and in recent years, the Pride movement has changed greatly and has morphed into something quite evil & sickening. I can no longer support anyone or any company that continues to support that movement. 😡 It's no longer about being proud of who you are, or about tolerance & acceptance. It's about targeting and sexualizing young children, and messing with their minds and bodies! It's also about taking control out of the hands of parents and giving it to the government! All in the name of "protecting children" and giving them "necessary care".
Debbie, you look like a majorette. WHY do you want to promote a youthful look, when you're not young. Yes, you are beautiful but we can't see it! Please, man.. grow up and act like it, do something interesting with AGE.. ok?! Don't get me wrong, i love your spirit of creativity and the fruition of a good project.
