As you may have heard already, someone at HBO put this episode forward for an Emmy. Maybe they were joking and it somehow became official. But I think we can agree it doesn't deserve one.

Thank you very much for some of your reviews of the last episodes of season 8. Regardless of what the books do and what fans did or did not do it should've been able to stand on its own legs and it failed.
Common now bruh. This show was always overrated! The best thing that I can ever say about it. Is that at least it had 4 objectively good seasons when it actually stayed close to George's books.
Well after this I guess peaky blinders is the best show on television.
John killed her like a coward. Stabbed her when she was kissing him. It doesn’t get any lower than that. He deserves the same date as his mates from the night’s watch who stabbed him like cowards as well. They were hanged. Why should John deserve a better fate?
Just wanted to let you know something came out this year. It seems D and D may have changed their plans for season 8 to make them even more character breaking. There are pieces of evidence that the earlier plan for season 8 was to have King's Landing burn due to wildfire. If King's Landing burned due to wildfire them chances are it wasn't something Dany would want.

Worst story of them all, legit wanted to skip through wheelchair boys scenes but figured he was in there instead of commercial breaks
I didn't like the finale, to say the least. But his story up until he became the 3 Eyed Raven and escaped back to the wall was amazing. I'm not claiming it was the best, but it was a great story. I guess they kind of forgot all the potential of this character, and decided reduce him to an enigmatic blank stare. Every time I hear "He is our memory" I want to punch the screen.
Let's be honest here. All the characters deserved better. Bran is no exception.

They sent him to the knights watch? That cold, grim barren of a place? He could've been a king by not killing dany. She offered him to be with her before he killed her and that is what he got in return? This is preposterous. I loved jon snow. He was my favourite character. Yes, it would've been predictable and conventional to have made him the king of the seven kingdoms but so bloody what. At a certain point you would do away with upending tropes, no? And besides they could've brainstormed and come up with an ingenious way of setting up the whole thing from the start that didn't cause the viewer to feel it was predictable by the end. This is madness. I was so invested in the show. I was fucking arguing with people who were calling it bad. I was defending the show with all my heart because I thought it was being taken in the direction which would've resulted in jon snow becoming the King of westeros. Fuck man. Game of thrones botched the landing for me. I don't know about you but for me game of thrones crashed hard in its landing. Going into the episode I was sure as hell that it would be the best show of all time. No movie or TV series would ever come close to its greatness but... No need to repeat myself. You get by now how Im feeling at this moment.

Bran only traveled far north of the wall, found the three-eyed raven, became him, faced the Night King 1 on 1 on multiple occassions, is the only reason the NK was ever defeated in the first place, found out that Dany would become a tyrant and set up the stage for her to be ended by telling Jon about his true heritage, which he had to discover first. Yeah, he did nothing at all.
The whole of Westeros would be walking corpses by now if this one Bran guy didn't exist. No big deal.

Pretty spot on, but you skipped one of the things that somehow pissed me off the most in this episode. The weird and misplaced attempts at comedy. That whole scene with Edmure Tully was just bizarre. We've just killed off Dany and you decide to do some slapstick comedy? Okay. Then the weird shit with Tyrion and the chairs and HAHA BRONN LIKES BROTHELS, kill me.
The writers have no respect for the audience.

Well, the secret passage was blocked anyway, so they couldn't run away from King's Landing. They were going to be captured and killed. Maybe Jaime decided to kill himself along with Cersei.
Don't forget that Jamie was also stabbed a couple of times. Maybe he collapsed and Cersei just lay there with him as there was no viable escape?

If a dragon is an animal, it still may be loyal to death apart of what species it is. Drogon was with Khaleesi since its very birthday and was raised by her. She showed it love, affection, and care. The dragon was with her all along and showed the same care, affection, and love. That must be enough of an argument to prove that Drogon was not happy at all when its „mother„” died.

They quite frankly telling us the guy knew from the get go of whats going to happen and he didn't do anything in trying to prevent it in fact he seemingly manipulated the entier situation by making Sam tell the truth to Jon in the worst possible moment which litterily started all the chaos in first place if it wasn't for his wired manpulative ass non of this shit would've happen and millions of lives might've been saved, so yeah in retrospect if the writers meant or not all of this makes Bran look almost villanious if not morally corrupt and thus the worst possible choice of being King since the dude seems to have no moral code whatsoever.

It made no sense especially because it was executed so terribly. They should have alluded to Greyworm having no more blood lust and having mixed feelings about his purpose without his queen. They kind of hinted at his reluctance to fight, when Sansa (I think it was her) mentioned the armies of the houses had surrounded king's landing. What would Greyworm have to gain in fighting and losing to their armies? He is pissed but he is also sad. He lost two loves, Missandei and Dany. The real question is why he didn't kill Jon as soon as he heard the news Dany had been killed. That part was really botched. Sorry for the rant. tl;dr: I hate D&D they butchered the story by doing 6 episodes instead of 20 in two years; I still have respect for George, but confused as to what he ever saw in D&D, did they drug him? Lol. The end.

The emotionless boy who does nothing but smirks and pointless remarks that he knew something before others. Bran had NO influence on the plot in the final seasons. We or any of the characters haven't seen him doing anything useful with his powers. Frankly, we don't even know what his powers are. He was the most passive character in the series.

I think HBO is to blame with all this. They read the script before any production began and agreed on it. If the authors were not interested anymore by the project (6 & 7 episodes only for season 7 and 8 is a joke), they should have given the contract to someone else. The show feel rushed and character development (or endings) is really bad this season. It's like they never ever read the books?

- What about the prince who was promise? Azhor Ahai?
- What about Jon's lineage playing a role in the end?

Apart from being the dumbest possible way for the show to end, It was also the most boring one.
I read spoilers that got leaked by supposed "insiders" on the show after season 7 ended and while those spoilers were bad they were hilarious and would have been better than what we got.
For example, the long night would have been fought at the Eyrie (the most logical place to have a last stand as it is the most easily defended castle).
I have no desire to rewatch the _show_ ever. _All_ the good parts are irrecoverably sullied by the knowledge of what every moment of the show was leading up to. I can't enjoy the early episodes anymore, knowing that the story was going to turn into a skyscraper-sized pile of shit.

And to be honest, the foundations of some main problems, like Sansa storyline, lie as early as 1 episode of 1 season. They forgot about Jeyne Pool, she appeared only on Feast in Winterfell, so they had to stupitidly sell Sansa to Boltons in season 5 instead, but this caused, that she COULDN'T LEARN ANYTHING FROM LITTLEFINGER, because she was absent. For this reason her progress is unnatural, undeserved, and overall unconvincing. This example can be generalized for the whole show

Think Jon coped more short jokes then Tyrion this season. Also can some one count up for me the amount of times "It doesn't matter now" is said in all the seasons of game of thrones (mainly towards the last season's) Tell you what doesn't matter now D&D .. the show!

Hopefully they include a section of Jon nodding along to a language he doesn't understand during danarys speech to the Dothraki, he doesn't speak it once during the series, doesn't indicate he knows it and yet he nods along and seems alarmed when she says Winterfell. Barely mentioned detail in the many flaws from the final season.

Exactly! They wanted her to go Mad Queen they should've went all the way or shouldn't have done it at all, since when does Daenerys take prisoners once she's betrayed? She should've killed Jon since she's the heir or should've let him die during the Long Night when the NK raised the dead around him.

@@fabi3790 he betrayed her by telling Varys about Jon’s heritage. Varys then tried to have her killed. Then Jaime got caught running back to kings landing and Tyrion freed him along with every other dumbass thing Tyrion did that screwed Dany over in season 7
