Carno...love/hate relationship with the current build, for me. I see someone making isle video mentions problematic, I think they're talking to me because of my name ig😂
As a troodon player I agree with the solution like it’s always annoying for them to run away when they know that they’re getting their butts kicked from a pack
I think a paralytic venom could also be nice, it would only happen for a few seconds and only on stage three but it would allow the troodons to actually utilize their damage buff that the venom gives. Also the paralysis would happen based on a chance where every time your opponent gets to third stage, they have maybe like a 10 to 20 percent chance to become paralyzed
that is also a intresting approach, tho i would put it in tandem with the stamina debuffs, since else the original problem would arise where you cannot get your pounces in
Tbh there is so much wrong with Troodon its hard to even start with it: They make way too much noise moving around(exact same sound profile as Omni? Except they rapid fire their footsteps making them super loud). They rely entirely on their venom which makes them super easy to counter. They are super punished for being countered(instant death). They use way too much stamina when stamina is also their only way to do damage. They have too long growth time for being so prone to death. They have arguably the most boring growth experience being entirely useless for almost half of it only getting venom around 48% growth. They are not fast enough to be expected to avoid certain death like Omni or Carno who both have 1 button ways to basically go "I kill whatever Troodon in that general direction". I use you! Latency! *100 Troodons die around the island* etc etc.
Or another option is Troodons are typically slower than alot of the playables, atleast most carnivores anyway. Only topping at what 45Km/hr? And thats with nocturnal or photosynthetic. Something else that the venom could potentially do if not a stamina debufff would be a speed debuff. Not only would this allow Troodons to chase and hunt down their prey but it could also be used as an aggressive escape mechanic. Similar to how pachy is so slow it needs to break someones leg in order to make a clean escape. But with Trood it could be its venom mechanic. I also think it would be cool if the devs introduced dinosaur specific mutations. So for Troodons they would have a mutation that prevents them from taking 100% damage from an attack that would otherwise one shot them. So instead of one hit it would always take two.
I always figured just boosting the stam would be a solution but i like this idea better. It give the target players the option of staying in the fight at potentially great cost or running away. That said, i still think the pounce stam drain should be nerfed a bit. Please devs give this a shot!
Pretty great suggestion ^^ Theres already a strat that a few troodons know to prevent people from shift+w'ing away, but it can still be defeated- And troodon stam based venom has always been a great choice. Also, if some people weren't aware, the devs once again shadow nerfed a creature, this time, troodon out of ALL the unbalanced creatures, its venom stage 3 venom used to do 120 dmg per pounce, now it does 100. Thats a solid 20% damage nerf, and you need 3-4 more pounces on bigger things like cera/carno/teno, which is absolutely uncalled for when it was already 15 for cera/carno, and 18 for teno- Awaiting the HT now to see what they give troodon, as they have to give it something quite damn good to warrant a 20% damage nerf- Not even something as cera ever got that big of a nerf.
Wait I have to know what this strat is. I basically main troo and people shift+w ing away is my incredibly frustrating. I mean come on, I’m clearly outclassed and they just run away?
yes, its not enough. it helps to some extend, but you cannot stay on for a full stamina bar. (Trees rocks etc if the player has a working brain) we gone over this option already x) it only works on clueless players.
its the fact that if the prey b lines away sprinting, that you end up being forced to use yours to stay with the prey. And once prey is out of stamina, you no longer have fuel in the tank. This is why i propose for the stages to affect stamina, so you gain the advantage in the stamina game.
i like this idea, i think 35% is too much though. 5, 10 and 15% on top of dmg buff would be fine. or could give troo in packs with a purple target a frenzied type of stat, where their stam costs while target is in stage 3 is halved
@@Nickboay i heard bro but even mentioning it i think its crazy :P. btw idk why ppl think this lil rat should be able to hunt large stuff even with a pack.gameplay wise should be only be able killing max an omni or pachy..anything bigger and it becomes unfair...like a maia shouldnt be getting chased by troodons, thats my opinion anyway
@@choci. 30 minutes to grow? Do you play on a 5x grow rate server or something? You cant even hunt before you are 48% when you get your 2nd mutation and venom.
@@choci. herrera exists, and punches up quite high (is killing ceras and carnos, and dilos etc) . I think a big troodon pack plus the fact its venomous should be a fck around and find out situation. You can try murder them all, but as soon u find urself losing you can disengage and just flee. So i find that a bit unfair that you can always decide to fight a pack of them, and then just flee if it goes south.
Which dino should i review next that is problematic ?
Carno: 3
Maia: 1
Carnotaurus or Maiasaura ?
Pick one of these 2

someone get this guy on the dev team PUH LEASE. i always love hearing your proposed solutions to the isle's problems.
Then stay tuned for more!
I'm pretty sure they already listen to his videos. He puts something out and it often gets addressed in a patch from what I've seen.
That would conflict with Dondis supreme vision. All non dondi believers are heretics and must be purged.

thats a good 5 years ago now, Rx was good days

Is 3 minutes and 20 seconds stam duration really bad or do they lose too much stam when pouncing?

the numbers can indeed be tested and tweaked. Im just suggesting a starting point
