Great video. Thank you for sharing. The valve was not a Cameron it’s a WKM. Some times the valve get pressure locked and that why they get hard to turn, after putting the pressure relive tool it lets the pressure out and it can get easier to turn.
Sir I would like to touch on a few things that should absolutely be added to this video. First of all best way to grease a valve that is not on a Frac stack is to half gate the valve. Also bumping grease through both 9/16 autoclave grease body fittings is standard for this industry. I would like to note that what you are doing is actually called a grease flush. Can also be performed with water to break the seize in a valve and get rid of any particles that may be jamming the gate. I would also like to add for anybody just looking for information that please when you are finished greasing please check your fittings on the valve don’t just toss the cap back on. The grease fitting on the top bonnet was leaking after you pulled your hose off. That fitting needs to be replaced.
Half gate is to flush out a valve you can grease any valve open position if you have two grease ports the bleeder on the second port best way and awc and Cameron thought me that if only has one grease port you can grease it and work the hand wheel bruh
Good point about caps and BGF’s. Always assume there is pressure behind BGF incase ballcheck fails. If it’s got two fitting pump in one and bleed out tail. If it’s single fitting open half way so grease has somewhere to go. And don’t forget to lube them bearings. Pump as much grease in the bodies as you want but once them bearings are seized time to open it up.
Hi, I saw your video and I have some questions for a gate valve project that I am working on. Could somebody be so kind and help me with answers to the following questions:- how frequent the preventing maintenace has to be done to the wellhead and the fracking valves in general: 30 days, 60 days, 90days...?- what involves preventive maintenance: greasing, repairing, replacing (with new or refurbished valves & components) ... - is maintenace done to all valves in the same time? are there areas more important than others (pumping line, wellhead, ...) - is maintenance a costly process ? how would you evaluate this cost comparing to the overall production cost?- are gate valves an important component in the fracking equipment? where are gate valves placed in the process?- are gate valves more sensitive that the other valves in the fracking process?- do gate valves need more maintenace that other valves?- would it make a difference if gate valves will not need any kind of maintenace for at least 1 year (for exmple) ? would it make any sense?- if something should change to make an impct in the fracing process, what should it be? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks,Mihaela
Lmaoo good video but in the beginning you was tighten the vavle aka closing it and in the end u just opened it thats that wanye county shit right there ole boi😅😅😅

I like how birds were chirping on the background of the scene.
worked doing this before getting into instrumentation and gettign a real job
@ 3.26 it made you jump.😆. Good job 👍
cuánta grasa es necesario inyectar cual es la cantidad recomendada y existe alguna norma o programa de mantenimiento que lo indique ?
I rebuilt these in West Texas
same I did in Alberta in a shop it was very percise and getto
Thank you
how much pressure you need to inject the grease?

What type of grease is used for this type of valve
What's the salary?
