I finally got a crewed lunar landing and return in ksrss! I’ve been overbuilding the same craft since October, and it was insane. My abort system BROKE, and I was forced to land on the dark side without lights. Mike Ross, by divine intervention, became the first man on the moon. I’m using Bluedog Design bureau and kerbalism as well, I launched with a hybrid Saturn C3, with a Gemini mothership and a tiny tin can for a lander. 1060 Science, and I didn’t even have a sci Junior!
Yeah, those maneuver nodes are seriously annoying, I’m surprised the moon has such a crazy inclination. I launch from Virginia so it’s annoying to have to time skip a day every time I want to launch something to the moon.

Also I don’t know if you have this in your game, but make sure whenever your leaving earths magnetosphere that you orient up from the sun so that your fuel tanks can block any radiation. I believe it works with the magnetosphere too, for some reason.

Yup. It's a great trick to remember during CMEs with crewed vessels.
