Surprisingly it's never been lost, thanks to the producer Biddie Baxter. She insisted every episode of Blue Peterr be kept in the archives. So whilst so much other stuff was wiped, we are lucky this show was not. S

Wow, this just shows how talented the cast of Dad's army were. Supreme comedy actors. What a treat!
What an absolute hoot! Truly a little lost gem.

"Smelly vermicelli jelly in Kelly's welly"
What an impressive sketch to even dare to attempt live, let alone perform it perfectly.
How on earth they kept a straight face dong that is beyond me...they must have cracked up like mad rehearsing it
Amazing... really nice to see a perfect sketch all done live! What pros!
Yes it was brilliant, only one slight moment when John Le Mesurier had to pause to remember the jelly rhyme!
That was the 1973 equivalent of a mini webisode I think...that was hilarious...jelly as a weapon and jelly in a wellie had me over! 🤣
I love the moment when John pauses before saying the whole rhyme - clearly he was worried he'd get that wrong!
@@Wally-H I don't blame him! 😆
I want to go back to 1973. Right now.😥
You need a time machine to do that like Doctor Who has.
That 11 year old had quite a talent for capturing likenesses, I wonder if he ever developed his skill or gave it up as he got older.

Amazing actors.
Absolutely Brilliant, almost a lost episode of Dads Army
Yes for aficionados of the show, this is gold dust.
Wonderful. I like to think that was all ad libbed.
Their improvisation is 12/10. ♥
This is just wonderful!
I remember seeing this years ago, Thank You!
Yesss, I remember this, I would have been 6 or 7.
I think I remember watching that when I was a kid.
Love how they stay in character through out
Glorious. Oh to be 11 again 😊

I went to Moorlands School. It's in Tilehurst west of Reading town centre.
1:51 Oh Captain Mainwaring From Dad's Army The Original Series. You Too Funny As Mr Bean From Mr Bean The Original Series. X❤
I didn't know Mrs Mainwaring was black
Diversity Wilson, Diversity! Mainwarning was years ahead of his time 😂
That's shoe polish - part of her camouflage, you see.

Brilliant 😂
Super stuff! But is it canon? ;)
That would be the question these days, followed by intense debate.
No idea but you could put the jelly in the welly in canon and fire it.
I have all the series on dvd and this isn’t on any of the special features. 😊
@RichyJAdventures🏆 Hmmm I must of missed it. I wonder what season it’s located on the dvd?
