The reason why Shane always taunts these paranormal places is because he's not a believer, so the dynamic between Ryan, a believer, and Shane, a non-believer, gives people a different insight into these paranormal places.

Ryan is the hunter looking for evidence and Shane is there to put a stop to "evidence". As a skeptic im glad Shane is there to represent me that's why I enjoy their show so much. Literally the only hunters I see as authentic and great videos.

Ryan and Shane are actually making their own ghost show called Ghost Files! It isn't out yet, but perhaps you could end up doing an investigation with them at some point or even react to those episodes when they come out later this fall.

Shane and Ryan do take it seriously and catch a lot of evidence. It’s also nice to have a sceptic and a believer make such a great team.
I agree, and I also feel like over time, Shane has shown to be open minded about it. I don't remember which episode but there was one where Shane looked a bit spooked and he couldn't really explain the incident.

@@evo3s75 I'm not sure what Kahrennn is talking about, but they recently released a video returning to Waverly Hills, and Shane felt a presence during his solo exploration. It didn't spook him at the time because he thought it was one of the crew members, but he can't explain it.

when they talked abt shane taught ig the demon i fr was like “they don’t get it 😭” the point of the two investigating is bc ryan is a believer and shane is a skeptic so they can have two views on evidence rather than just being like “WOW 😱”
I understand the dynamic of their show, but Shane really doesn't even try to believe. If you don't try, then I feel like the spirits won't either.
Shane really trying hard not to believe, imo. Especially because, just like you said, it's dinamic of their show. Ryan need a balance, so Shane need to fill that non-believer position.
Sam and Colby has different dynamic, they're like hype adventurers that on journey to find a truth about other worlds.

like imagine someone saying you can’t see mermaids because “you’re not trying to believe in them.” it’s all about perspective. and the original comment was saying it’s good to show that side. especially, when pretty much every other ghost show out there already comes from a firm perspective of ghosts are real.

The Anneliese exorcisms were in Klingenberg am Main, Bavaria, West Germany, I’d love to see you guys go there. It’s also said to be the exorcism to inspire the exorcist movie. I did some more reading and found that her grave is often a sight visited by many tourists that go to Klingenberg am Main, so someone could probably take you there. The hose was recently damaged by arson so it might not be the safest right now.

I trust Ryan and Shane bc Shane as a non-believer adds rationality to everything. So, if there is any psychological factors at play, it would be pointed out. I feel like if you believe something, your mind will naturally try to prove it, even if that means creating it from nothing. I.e. seeing and hearing things and adding interpretation to them. A creak to a believer could be understood as paranormal activity, but to a non-believer, it's just a creak. I used to be like Ryan, where everything would strick me as a ghost or demonic presence, but now I am more like Shane, where other explanations are easily more possible then paranormal activity.

The funny thing is the first ever paranormal channel I grew up with were *Buzzfeed Unsolved* because they were popular around that time so I would spend my time watching every episode until they ended the show. Then I found *Sam and Colby* Which are still apart of my childhood because I am a minor-
But overall it’s cool seeing both channels that I love talking about each other :)

I love the moving the goal post logical fallacy-“ghost are real.” “Then give me evidence.” “Oh they only interact with those who believe.” Or maybe they are just not real and us Shaniacs know that. I’ve never actually seen a real investigation. No triangulation of sounds, no real tools that work, no baseline measurements made…It’s fun and I enjoy it so keep it up. I would like to see it done right though.
I’ve never understood the whole concept of “if you’re not open to spirits then they’re less likely to show themselves” or whatever. Like… are they Peter Pan fairies who drop dead if you say you don’t believe?? Spirits exist or they don’t, I don’t think how heavily you believe in them would have any impact on what they can and cannot do, it’s ridiculous.
I feel like cracking jokes every once in a while is good for you mentally when dealing with haunted places. It takes your mind off of the fear. Anyone who complains about you guys not being serious doesn't understand (or doesn't care to understand) what you put yourselves through when you do your investigations.

You call them names and disrespect them, you’ll get a nasty demon or malevolent spirit attached to you. You can laugh and joke, but you also shouldn’t name call/antagonize it. If you can’t handle fearful situations, either don’t go into it or learn to mediate yourself

I feel so bad for what Annelise & her fam went through. Reminded me of the movie Veronica. It would be interesting if you guys tried to visit the apartment of Estefania Gutiérrez Lázaro. Veronica is based on a police report in Madrid (Spain) involving Estefania in her family's apartment, which is the only time that an official police report has ever documented paranormal activity. (at least from what i have read) her family had experienced paranormal activity after the incident. It would be so interesting if you guys were the first to investigate that apartment and see if its still active since.

They tried so hard for her. And the worst part is she asked for the exorcisms. I can't understand what made her go to that extreme end of the spectrum. She asked for the exorcisms and they took her to a doctor. And it still got so bad she died.
The possessed one gave me chills, especially the voice recording.

They have benn in almost your investigations, like the sally house, sam sit in the same spot like shane, but what the ghoul boy did is to this day make me laugh and creeps at the same time. One thing I love about both hunting videos is with Ryan and Shane, Ryan is a diehard believer but Shane isn't so it makes it funny in that sense but with Sam and Colby they both believe and still add some fun into the scaryness. So if you're looking for some fun history facts with not such amazing events Ryan and Shane are the ones you go to but with Sam and Colby you watch them if you want that serious stuff 😂

I was also heavily pregnant with my youngest child while watching them, somehow I heard a creepy voice at 3 in the morning when I went to the bathroom alone while everyone is asleep.
I didn't think much of it, I thought it was just some people talking until I realized it's almost 3am, so I tried to eavesdrop on the sound and I heard a faint voice saying, "Help me..."
I thought my ears or brain was playing tricks on me until I heard it again getting louder each time. I freaked out and quickly went out of the bathroom. While walking away from the bathroom I heard a faint creepy laugh like it enjoyed scaring me off.
I was heavily pregnant and most people would say that they like pregnant women the most since there's an innocent child in their tummy. They would try to harm or take the unborn baby if we're not protected.
So obviously I recite some prayers and protect myself the best I can. That really freaked me out. It can't be in my mind since I have no thoughts of being scared every single night I went to the bathroom alone. Nothing happened, only this faithful night when I was heavily pregnant. Strange but true.

funny thing is, buzzfeed unsolved was the reason why i got into ghost hunting because ryan and shane just makes it less scary and they’rena great duo. then they were also the reason why i discovered sam & colby doing haunted stuff (i used to know them through vine), and now it has all became a full circle. i wish you guys would collab with them, it’ll be great!

I am shocked to hear you guys don't know about Annelise Michel! The movie that best depicts Annelise's possession is The Exorcism of Emily Rose. If you haven't seen it, you should! It is truly terrifying and Jennifer Carpenter (who also starred in Dexter) was perfect for the roll because she literally could be Annelise's doppleganger. Her acting is phenomenal! I don't get scared. Not typically any way. Especially since I first saw the Exorcist at age 6... however this movie is terrifying and definitely worth a watch! I would actually love to see you get access to and investigate the home in Bavaria! Also on the UA-cam channel Creap Freek you can hear one of the actual exorcisms. It is absolutely spine tingling!
