I love my rustler I have setup for carpet. I also added the aluminum axel carriers, but the rest is not far from stock other than the motor and it’s great!
These projects are hella cool, I wanna turn any traxxas into a race build. Now I just gotta choose from the options you’ve made so far, great content 💯
Very cool, I had a Rustler that somehow turned into a Slash. But I found the Rustler my son had back in the 90's, with the black chassis. So which rims and tires are you using? The stock front rims are offset out due to the shorter front arms. I think. Which are you using? Someone here mentioned going to the Slash rear arms? I've got a lot of Traxxas stuff around here, five Slashes that have been turned into Mudbosses and Super Street cars. I even have two Nitro Rustlers. Never owned a Bandit. Yet. Would like to run a little offroad. Cheaply. But you already know that lol! Carry on!
Chuckworks rusty chassi is all ill say also it is completely safe to run the aluminum front and rear bearing carriers. i ran them on my car for the last few years. caster blocks stayed stock plastic, but i just put the rpm ones on this year
You could really get the cheapest bandit or Rustler make them race ready and there great little buggy’s and trucks I’m thinking of racing and running another Rustler again all though I had one before and still have not been able to get a bandit yet. Also it’s called a ball cup end on the tie rod.
Even if I've never raced before, I'm still sad that racing classes die. In the south, only 1/8 buggy and SCT (particularly 4wd) seem to be popular, and I just don't want to shell out the startup cost for those classes. I'd be happy with 10th 2wd buggy being available, but after what I've read and watched (both here and elsewhere), I really wish Stadium Truck was still a thing.
took me almost a year to break one on my slash with racing it as a late model oval car and the traxxas hd parts seam to hold up good on there modified with a ton of wall hits with it since those pushes like a train untill you get them to turn. i also tried to turn a fury into a oval car but they suck since there is no adjustment points for the shocks and no camber adjustments to make it work good. since i know that is the sc truck you have lol

Great! I definitely have more fun racing stuff that’s not considered “race worthy “.
Our hero is back with another traxxas race build!!
Great stuff my friend! Merry Christmas!

Razor rc did a nice built on a rustler that worked relatively well
Sweet project......love to see some stadium truck racing......and a new SCT....."You the Man!".....😎👍
You should run Slash rear arms to even out the front and rear. They also have 3 degrees of toe in to help traction.

Aluminum c blocks and rpm front bearing carriers are bulletproof together

Been eyeing that tri five Chevy in the back
Back to customizing with home made parts and tweaking stock Traxxas stuff. And yes, more of Dirtmaster please!
ABC HOBBY in NH has ball diffs in stock

Thought of trying the RPM or Carbon rear shock towers?
Try the proline arms . They are both the same size front and rear. RAZOR RC did a race build.

If you were talking about Ed's in WV, he is putting down carpet.

Oh my Traxx is bandit. I’m carpet racing it but the suspension is really stiff. What springs do you recommend I get
Which sct? A fury?
Where is the arrma fury racing???
There's no question the Team Associated will destroy a Traxxas every time. Nobody races Traxxas, nobody. Unless it's against another Traxxas lol
I find that offensive because I race my bandit against associated😂😅
