Awesome trucks in this one!! I love how each truck is unique from one another. The whole yard is unique compared to the others, really. Their new FL's look great!
Thanks! Yeah this yard is awesome, so much variety from Macks to Volvos to Autocars to Peterbilts. Everything about this yard is awesome. I agree! My favorite new trucks!
the office front entrance is unique. how unfortunate many of those trucks are probably gone. That model at the end was sick!! What brand made that?! and rolling out manual bins?? pretty dang cool. You gotta take a tour of the WMAC yard. They still have a few older trucks and have some cool carts sitting around (waiting to be recycled) SonomaMarinGarbage got an invite from a wm landfill worker to take a tour - might be able to go with him (maybe, no set date.) WMAC has some rich history in california
A yard tour is a nice change of pace. I particularly enjoyed the Insta-Bin demonstration, not something you see everyday. And of course all the old pictures at the end. Fantastic upload.
Thanks George! This is by far my favorite yard tour I've been on. The Insta-Bin truck was so cool to see, and I'm glad GI has several on MRs running throughout the counties. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment as well!
3000 views! Nice. Well worth the trip to Simi Valley, real nice trucks and staff. Mike has a great collection as well, your dream of finding someone with albums full of old WM pics finally came true!
Haha not doing as well as Majestics. Yes, Simi Valley was well, well worth it. Time for another trip out there! Now it's time to find someone with old WMX or Western Waste pics ;)
Wonder upload! What a bunch of great trucks! Esp, them Xpeditor's and Mack MR's those are badass to see with G.I. strips. This WM yard next to BBD and HSS has to be one of my favorites. With the unique trucks, and as you said best maintained trucks. WM of NM should take notes, LOL. So happy to still see WHITEGMC Xpeditors alive in WM's fleet. Of course, all the Xpeditor's are my favorite, but I love them Mack MR Amrep Octos. Them old school G.I. Rubbish pictures where just classic! Sorry it took me 5 million years to finally comment, haha. One of you're best yard tours yet, bro! Can't wait to see more! Great employees, great trucks, and great services. Now this is the WM I am used to. Also, can't go wrong with them buying Peterbilt / Amrep now! Fav!
Thank you! This is my favorite yard out there haha Funny the manager of GI also manages HSS, and I believe he did some things with BBD as well. The WhiteGMC's were great to see! Not sure how long they will be around unfortunately. Personally, I'm sad to see Pete Amreps come into this yard - wish they would go back to buying Mack MRUs for everything!
Amazing photos you have here. I especially love those little Mack Midliner Minis, I've seen one multiple times in Calabasas before but haven't gotten a chance to film it yet. I'm also surprised that WM still has a few White GMC and Volvo Amreps... did they possibly get them from L.A... and what the hell happened at 3:01?! Also don't think I've ever seen a truck like that before at 3:23. Where does that little thing go? Also gotta love the FLs on the Mack Cabovers... always reminds me of the First Gear trucks I have. Great video once again and awesome old photos!
The White GMC were originally from my yard (LA Hauling) I think from 2:47 and 2:52. They were sent off to Compton then they ended up at GI I guess. I remember seeing chrome grilled and bumpered Volvos and White GMCs in Carson when I was smaller.
SoCalGarbageTrucks Thank you!! I love the Midliners too, unfortunately, those will be replaced as of April 1 due to stupid emission laws...so you better hurry! A couple of the WhiteGMCs might be from LABOS. Many of the 1023s to 1025s were bought from other companies, including LABOS, so there is a possibility. Haha 3:01 is a parts truck. They pull other parts off and stick them on other trucks. Sad to see that one go though...3:23 is a spare truck actually, or it does missed pickups sometimes. Mack MR Amrep FLs are some of my favorites! Thanks and glad you enjoyed!
Wow awesome yard! Love all the trucks they have, especially those Amrep Octos. I also like those yellow and green stripes on the cabs. Great clips too! Glad to see some Amrep action and unloading. Great job putting this together and happy holidays!!
Awesome pics and videos bro! I liked the older carts with the "property of GI industries" also liked their mini mack Amrep asl's" I also noticed a few former LABOS trucks because of the green paint inside the cab. Did that mack Amrep asl at 6:20 have a rail-arm? How come some of the trucks were unloading at 11:50? And why was there an Anderson Rubbish truck in the background at 11:37? Loved that little tonka FL in GI colors, I should do that to my tonka trucks haha. GI seems like a chill company to let you check out their yard! Have you been to sun valley hauling? Anyways cool video all the trucks were awesome especially the old pics at the end!! Keep up the good work bro! Definitely faving 👌
Thanks much Kev! That Mack Amrep at 6:20 has the regular Amrep arm (would be cool with a rail arm though lol) GI has a recycling transfer, so all the recycling trucks in the area from GI and Anderson come here and dump their loads, then head back out on route. So that's why the Anderson truck was there. The Tonka FL was so cool lol GI was great. This yard has some of the best employees I've ever met. Sun Valley Hauling is actually one of the next facilities I want to tour :) Glad you enjoyed! Appreciate it!
Awesome! Very unique yard as mndsi said. Love every truck here. Those Mack Midliners are my favorite. Loved seeing all those Macks,Volvos, and Whites. Think those single axle trucks with tag axle are pretty neat too. Also at around the 12 minute mark were they dumping at their own yard? Kinda of like my LABOS yard. The green waste trucks dump at our yard they have a composting facility in the back I'll show you on hangouts. How long were you there? From what time to what time? Also what's that Anderson truck doing in the back at 12:40? Like it when there's Christmas decorations on the trucks lol they put some on Virginio's truck. Nonetheless, awesome stuff!
Thanks! Yeah GI's awesome. Too bad the new trucks are Peterbilts. The guys wish WM would buy Mack out here. They love Mack, especially since the GI owners use to have a Mack dealer. Yeah, they dump recyclables here then ship it out to Azusa. I was here from 2:30 to about 5:45 I would say. Anderson takes their recyclables here since its the only "MRF" in the area. GI works closely with the other two haulers in the area, which is good for the sake of keeping contracts lol I love the Christmas decorations too! Haven't seen that in a long time. Thank you!
Thanks!! Yeah that was so cool and even today, GI still has an amazing fleet. None are actual USA Waste, since all the merges in the area occurred in the late 1990s, and it pretty much went GI to Western Waste to USA Waste to WM within a couple years. So there was really no time to get any USA equipment before the whole company became WM
This is probably your best yard video (even though they're all good) I really like those old pictures especially the green and white recycle trucks. Did you find those online or did someone send those to you?
Haha thank you! I think this is personally one of my best as well - loved the tour and trucks GI has! The old pictures just made my day - I'm pretty sure I was speechless for the first 30 mins while looking through the photo album. The directer of operations, Mike, had four photo albums of G.I. trucks from back in the day, so we spent a good hour or so looking through those in his office. So much fun!
I just watched my most recent tour video from GI and I believe 54 is 154 is there. Both the ones at GI are from Corona, assuming that 151 is also from Corona right?
Awesome Video Waste Management has been around for many years WMmaster626 did you know there is a new G.I. Industries Video Called Waste Management/G.I. Industries Ventura County If interested check it out But I like this video man Awesome Video

Oh crap you probably meant LABOS lol their trucks usually get sent to Burrtec, but it would still be cool to see ex-LA trucks in WM
SoCalGarbageTrucks Thank you!! I love the Midliners too, unfortunately, those will be replaced as of April 1 due to stupid emission laws...so you better hurry! LA AmrepsMaster Your WhiteGMCs were sent to Carlsbad and Palmdale in 2012
***** Im guessing its the Volvos that were sent off to Compton
Wow awesome yard! Love all the trucks they have, especially those Amrep Octos. I also like those yellow and green stripes on the cabs. Great clips too! Glad to see some Amrep action and unloading. Great job putting this together and happy holidays!!

Kev Barajas You were right, 6:20 did indeed have a rail-arm :-)
Wow dumpster services Cool!
Amazing video!!!!!!!!
Thanks!! So nice to hear from you!
Definitely liked those side mounted Peterbilt 320 Amrep FLS
Yeah those are my favorite new trucks out there for sure!
Amazing video!
Thanks!

Great video! Nice to see the old pics, GI ran some good trucks! Are any of their current trucks Ex-USA Waste?

What ever happened to 101178 and 101184 seen around the 10:00 mark?
Those are the same WXLLs that Alex filmed in 4s Ranch about a year ago. GI shipped them there shortly after this video was made
This is probably your best yard video (even though they're all good) I really like those old pictures especially the green and white recycle trucks. Did you find those online or did someone send those to you?

I don't recall seeing it the past few times I was at the yard but I just may not have been paying attention. I'll double check for you
***** alright cool thanks! Makes me wonder if i have it since we have 151
I just watched my most recent tour video from GI and I believe 54 is 154 is there. Both the ones at GI are from Corona, assuming that 151 is also from Corona right?

Cool Video And Waste Management Lost Their Contract In Huntington Park California.
Thanks! Yeah I heard, they're still getting new trucks though
Something tells methis yard had my Mack LE 101499 before I did.
+Matthew Clements Quite possibly, but these guys love their Macks
What made me think it was all the 1490's tended to be in the yard nice vid though
Matthew Clements Yeah, those Macks get shifted around a lot. Thanks!
