I am not saying this in an attempt to be a pompous douche in any way shape or form, but the anime was not all that great. I personally read the manga first and then decided to watch the anime. I was really let down and confused as to why only 25 episodes (to my knowledge) were created and why they are all "filler." I call it filler because it hardly contains any relevance to the original source (the manga) and just deals with Teito coming to terms with his circumstances. I love the story that was presented in the manga and the way it was written, it's just a huge let down how they handled the anime in comparison by making it a "read-the-manga" ending. But that is just my opinion.

2023 and still listening to this. Even now, I keep reading the amazing manga again and again, which makes it incredibly sad on how there'll be no 2nd season of this anime. The author's next project is still at a halt too, so I'm still waiting for the next chapter T_T
