- The thing about using a classic car all year round means it comes with faults you just have to deal with there and then. Sometimes you get lucky and its an easy fix, other times you have to improvise until you can get the part. As I know I've got a fault on the Rover, I thought this time it would be nice to bring you all along to see if I could fix it on the same day I found the fault

Hello, came across this video by accident, but would just like to say, that engine sounds lovely. No rattles or blowing, just as it should. Nice one.

Hi Steve! The bracket.... That's a lifting point for pulling engine out. 😄 . So good to see you using red lube 😎 well done. Impressive you managed to do that hose without removing the water pump.

Hi Steve . Suddenly rememberd had a TC in the late 1970's . Rust was the big issue with the P6 ......lot's of it ! Cheers !
And in the 80s. and 90s. Etc etc.... this car is a lucky survivor.... especially escaping potential dramas like blowing a cracked hose on the motorway on New Years Day going to and from Brooklands !
Very true, it's a Guernsey car originally, so sadly it's original number plate has been lost to time, but could be part of the reason it survived. Low mileage on the island, and then an enthusiast buying it 👍

Totally agree that you dodged a bullet with that hose, esoecially having a spare in the boot, and you definitely need to fit a full set of correct new hoses this year ! Blue coolant traditionally should be changed every 2 years for maximum effectiveness, but new formulations may stretch it to 3 ?
Yeah couldn't agree more. I'm going to stretch the coolant for 3 years. I generally look after the car, when things need doing they tend to get done. However I should really record more of it on, but with it be my only car, sometimes it's just not always practical. I intend of getting on top of that this year and sharing much more content 👍
