#Celtics Host Johnny Most Night at #Boston Garden. This night at Boston Garden is a who’s who of Celtics and NBA legends. From Tommy Heinsohn at emcee, Bob Lobel filling in for Mike Gorman, Satch, KC Jones, Larry Bird and the patriarch himself, Arnold “Red” Auerbach.
Johnny’s speech is absolutely iconic, chilling and stuff that makes sports fans cry.
If you enjoyed this tribute to the legendary voice of the Celtics glory years, You will LOVE THIS...!
I went to the Boston Garden twice in my lifetime. Once in 1989 and once in 1995. In '95 I asked my dad, do you see a mircophone that was Johnny Most's? The guy sitting in the seat next to me said, turn around, it's up there. Thank you Celts fan for pointing it out.
I fell in love with the Celtics during the 60's and the 70's Celtics were my favorite team.
We will never forget you, Johnny
this moved me to tears
I grew up listening to Johnny Most on my 6 volt transister radio
I was there for that and I still have the shirt! Very special night! I remember watching the games on TV with the volume off so I could listen to Johnny on the radio.
Great management brown and Auerbach
When I was a kid growing up in East Boston I used to go to my aunt's house on falcon st and watch the games on tv but my cousin would shut off the sound and turn on the am radio and listen to jphnny
He was a great impartial observer!!!!!
Beautiful ceremony for a legend!
I was working the night that Bird stole the ball, the Walkman days. Listened to many a game. Turn the tv down put the radio on!
Brown Auerbach most
Games aren't the same w/o him. Used to turn volume down on tv and listen to him on radio. Miss him.
The Dynasty died with Most
That is a fact the dynasty of the Celtics ended in 1987. However it ended for good in 1990 when Johnny Most left and retired.
Did his microphone plaque make it in the new arena?
"Fiddles and Diddles".
His voces sounds good not raspy during acceptence speech
