Did it and it came out amazing, thank you! I didn't have any double sided paper, only brown packing and it worked just fine. I made the belt with normal wrapping paper because that didn't need to be double sided :)
I made this video a while ago for wrapping odd-shaped items. ua-cam.com/video/l0ZQU3UI38E/v-deo.html You can avoid using tape and use ribbons to hold the paper. :) You can learn the key concepts of wrapping the odd-shaped items in this blog post: www.shihomasuda.com/blog/3-rules-of-wrapping-any-odd-shape I believe that knowing those rules will make it easier for you to wrap unusual shapes. And again, with this wrapping style, you can often avoid using the tapes as well.
