Well, I have an explanation. Barry requires snooker at this point. The crowd probably knows that and focuses on the fact "What his snooker attempt will be". The crowd knows that Barry's priority is to get Shaun to commit a foul shot. So, they are wondering what his snooker will be, knowing that he CANNOT finish the remaining colours from there. In other words, they didnt expect to see him "removing the brown" from there, as it could be a ball that had to stay on the table and used for the snooker attempt. So, putting the brown closer to the pocket when this balls HAD TO STAY on the table, is the reason why the crowd was puzzled by the choice to remove it from the cussion and put it closer to the pocket. Makes sense ?
@@rainmusic8347 M8 see with the brown being tight on the cush it was completely useless to Barry so he had to move it & that sequence between the green & laying the Snooker was sublime!
@@mcvicarross7 If u are playing a snooker on the next ball, you can still do it if the ball is tight on the cussion. Potting is what becomes difficult and landing on your next ball.

Shaun said at the Masters that he was going back to playing how he used to play. I joked at the time that it meant playing beautiful snooker for half the match, and then losing to someone who isn't as good as him.

Always happens Murphy can gp win a event make a 147 beat them all next 4 events he can go looose to 40+ranked plsyers never know what he gonna do
Then get on the commentary later on and criticise players for making the same mistakes he did earlier.
Can forgive a retired snooker player doing this (or those that are far past their prime) but when he's still in the top 10, it just seems a touch hypocritical.

I see Barry Pinches has reduced his average shot time to around 2 minutes per shot now. They'll be changing his nickname to Barry 'Whirlwind' Pinches soon. He's the only player I have ever seen that can chalk his cue 4 or 5 times before he takes a shot!

Hm, very interesting and surprisingly riddled with failed shots play by Murphy. I would expect a much higher level free of fairly simple mistake. The green to the right corner pocket? Weird decision. Just to mention one out of many.
