- Paint is finished on the Tamiya Grand Hauler 1/14 scale tractor trailer truck! I talk about the paint in this video. There was a few issues I ran into that I go over in the video. This is the Grand Hauler version, you can also get the King Hauler, Knight Hauler, Globe Liner, Scania, Man, Ford Aeromax, Cascadia, Mercedes, and Arocs, and more. Will be doing a build series on it sharing any tips I have, or issues I run into. Here are some Amazon links to some of the kits. Please subscribe!

Just saw the video I like it I think the exhaust Stacks are cool you're right about the wheels though I've bought aluminum ones👍🏆
A toyan l400 engine would sound sweet in that rig , the green is charming , I think the fifth wheel should be a lot more matte.
Motor 80T and solved problem!
Use clear double sided tape for the visor. Beautiful job!
Thanks for the tip!
I would like to learn how to paint the Tamiya box trailers. So many videos about the Tamiya trucks but NO ONE AT ALL posts videos on how to customize/paint the trailers. Do you know of some industry reason why expert hobbyists seem to withhold trailer painting information?
I have done a few in the past. I just bought the smokey and the bandit decal sets off of ebay. I think there is a channel on UA-cam called hobbyconcepts that has alot of content on semi's and trailers.
If problems are you need different motor. You need Tamiya Item 54114 CR- Tuned Motor ( 35T )
If will give you low-speeds. And more torque
Tamiya remand this motor for up grade
Very good looking build, I agree with the silver trim around the wheel wells, no need for graphics. I have the RC4WD R3 2-speed and I have beaten the crap out of it and I think it likes the abuse, I would have to recommend it if you're in the market.
Thanks!
very nice finish I am starting too build mine. purchased it aprox 1yr plus ago lol too many other builds between. But after thats done Im getting the cabover.. In my pile of upgrades for the grand hauler I've got some cool anadized black aluminum wheels w/ polished aluimum edge..a few other goodies and a 80T motor.. for nothing but pulling all my equipment..Very cool..The yellow tinge is most likely the glue on the stickers that might of tarnished if older decals from factory. try some q bond glue for next bond project.. Its the best darn glue I have ever came across in decades lol
ps also lesu winter tires I run on all my rigs alot more aggressive tires and wider also
@@thatsmyrc I wonder if the wider tires rub the rear fenders on the Grand Hauler?
What do you use for bigger exhaust stacks?
Change the motor to a 45 turn to slow it down, that helps a lot. Also, lock one of the rear ends as the open diff really sucks.
But he already has a 55 turn motor. changing the motor to a 45 turn would speed it up not slow down.
Hi, I just watched your video on your truck it’s January 2024. I was just wondering what you used for the silver where your paint lines meet by the way the truck looks great.
Thanks! I used silver automotive pin striping that you can get from autozone.
Good jop
Much nicer than the hauler I don’t have although I have driven the 1/1 a thousand times.
Nice paint I would have painted the tanks and the air filter the Pearl Green, but nice job brother. When Im done mine Ill post a link here
Nice build I like the paint you want to paint mines lol.
Thanks!
You should attach a vape tank inside, so you can hit the pipes. lolol.
