Omg that end grain is glorious! Obviously how you did your rabbets were scary, I’m trying to remember from the start (end grain is confusing me) but probably would’ve been best to to add those prior to cutting your pieces small. But again I could be wrong, with the grain direction changed early on I can’t figure out if that would’ve worked or not plus you cut your shorter so that’d be something you’d have to rip early on too. Another idea is to mount all those pieces snuggly onto a longer/taller board using carpenters tape and then rabbeting those out. Regardless, good job mainly said that for anyone watching and wondering another way around it! Very good job, I love this simple size and the beauty this piece has is just stunning! The cow hide is my favorite idea for joining all those beautiful pieces of end grain together! Love these builds
that zebrawood tambour was incredible. Sadly, i'm now deathly allergic to the dust. Too much of a good thing(the wood) and now my lungs/skin say "F-you!" :~(
Love the design and wood choices. Overall a very beautiful piece! Curious about the lights you used, as they'd be perfect for a project I'm working on. Any chance you'd post a link to where you bought them?
Appreciate the compliment Matthew, here’s a link to the lights in this video. Also included a link to a new version that’s a lot better in my opinion. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C584CG6G?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C5GPG7K5?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I can figure out which one it is and get back to you. The fence is honestly horrible so I wouldn’t recommend it. There are alot of great universal aftermarket fences out there though!
Great build looks amazing loved the wood you used really stands out makes you want to actually look at the piece in detail, my god that sounded soo grown up im gonna have to go and do something really childish now. Liked and subscribed looking forward to more content from you.
@Yarmles tight or not, it's fabric, if a blade or bit touches it, it will pull your hand deeper into it and won't let go. Checkout #sawstopsave and look how many people simply nip their fingertip. Go watch any popular woodworking channel, almost none wear gloves for this exact reason, except one or two who have skin disorders. Your hands, but man you're taking an already dangerous tool and making even more dangerous.
Beautifully built! I love zebra wood. I don’t understand the gloves. Why? It’s so flipping dangerous. My wife’s co-worker lost part of two fingers wearing gloves running a lathe. …
Looks so wonderful. Have you wondered about selling or share the projects? I’m from Brasil, and I think is a little hard bring to here this amazing products
The zebrawood looks very nice with the walnut. Did you use a colored stain to get the colors to be so close? And did I see that right - the lights turn on and off when it's opened and closed?
I didn’t use any stain on this project, it’s all satin oil based Varathane. The colors just worked in my favor with this one. And yes the lights have motion sensors and are automatic, they turn off 20 seconds after the doors close.
It is a really great build. Did you design it also yourself? I like it very much that you showed every steps. Thanks for making the video, it is a pleasure to watch. Please correct me if i am wrong but I think one should not wear gloves when operating rotary machines especially table saw or router. One more thing, would you sell your plans?
I have to say that you have done a truly beautiful design. If you have plans next time, I would be def the first buyer. (For me personally is a simple sketch with measures enough, becuse we see the rest anywey in your videos.) Have a nice Christmas @@Yarmles
It’s contact cement, you put a coat on the fabric and slats and let it dry completely, once you touch them together they have a reaction and stick to each other firmly.
I attached the aluminum L channel to the wall and slid the shelf over top of it and put those brass screws through the case into the threaded holes I made previously. Definitely not a dumb question, I could have went into depth a little more on the install myself. Thanks for watching
This is a new channel?! The vids are very polished!! May I suggest you give more weight to the “ ingenuity” & “problem solving part” instead of all the drilling, sanding, etc. maybe this could be your abbreviated video with a longer one explaining the brainstorming. On the subject of explaining it begs to ask: do you speak English?! I see that you are in the US bc of the equipment, Harbor Freight; 20V instead of 18V(as required in Europe) on the batts; & the use of a tape measure (instead of a folding rule) & in Imperial no less.!! At first I thought you were a transplant but you do & have things in the American way. Just curious. I’ve enjoyed the vids I’ve seen.
Hey thank you, yes I just started it a month or so ago, shocked by the growth honestly. And I will keep your critique in mind when filming my next one. I started this channel with the intention of just making pieces with lofi music over it not really having it be a “how to” channel so I try and keep the text to a minimum for my own sanity. And I am in the US, born on the east coast, currently on the west!
My god, dude! I have heard of unbox therapy but this boxing therapy is so damn satisfying.
Re-box therapy, I like it 😂
Perfect ambience for a perfect build 🙌
Thanks Gabe, appreciate you!

Thanks for the kind words, and I agree the leather really brought it together!
Freaking beautiful, man! Great job!
Appreciate it man, first time making one, pretty happy with the outcome.
That was awesome. Very nice work! Loved the tambour door idea.
Appreciate yuh David!
So good!
Thanks Ryan, appreciate yuh!
We need one of these at our store, this such a cool design
They’re for sale on my site!
Really nice!

Love the end grain zebra wood! Could you do a video showing your table saw fence? I have the same saw and hate the fence.

Nice work! Where did you find the lamps including sensors? :)
Thank you, these are a better version of the ones used in this video!

I was curious on how you did the slides. I dig the leather backing👌🏼
Agreed, it’s rugged and matches the color scheme pretty well.

Appreciate the support man, it was a challenge working with the materials end grain so it looked the best, but very worth it 😂😂
That is a beautiful build, but watching your gloved hands with power tools... man that is a gamble not worth taking my dude.
Agreed, I picked these because of the rubber palm/fingers and how tight they fit.

I do sell them on my site but I dont ship outside of the US unfortunately, it ends up being way to much money for shipping.

really wonderful mini bar.. well done. and where did you buy these nice automatic lights?
Amazon, they have alot of options for them.
Just a short question from my side. The glue you're using for adhering the slats with the leather is it ordinary wood glue diluted with some water?
It’s contact cement, you put a coat on the fabric and slats and let it dry completely, once you touch them together they have a reaction and stick to each other firmly.
Nice build! Curious about the brand of whisky glasses?
“Lemonsoda whiskey snifter” on amazon 🥃
Do you have plans a for these builds? 2 12 2024. 11am. Cst
may i ask how did you mounted it to the wall? (prob a dumb question, but I still see my self as a beginner)

Do you have a link to those lights? Been looking for some just like that

If that doesn’t work just type “under cabinet motion sensor lights”
Come a long way from making stuff in high school wood shop that’s for gosh darn sure
Only took a decade!
Clancy would be proud! But serious question.. How many tools did you use🤯
@@Shagle1 he would approve, Rip. And 62 tools, probably.
Damn, dude
Hope this was a damn of approval 🤞🏼
Do you make skateboard decks?
No no, I don’t have the press required or the desire haha
This makes me want to imbibe a whiskey or three.
Imbibe, great word 👏🏼
does anyone know what type of adhesive product was used to adhear the leather strip to the tambour slats??
3M water based contact cement
