"Amazonia" from Gojira's "Fortitude" album (2021). The video is currently blocked so I have no idea if this video will ever actually see the light of day. Anyway, it's a pretty fun song to play. There's some very weird notes at 2:50. Disonnance mania over there, but oh well. My job is to transcribe, not to complain about notes. I will do that other song as well, but I felt like I was way too late with Born For One Thing so I didn't really try to be the first on UA-cam. I mean, I haven't even listened to it yet... Maybe I should.

I listen to Tool, but not really to metal I guess. I typically only listen to very calm music. But, I don't have to listen to something in order to know that it is good. Gojira is very good!
You probably know this by now, but Jean-Michel plays that opening riff by bending the open D string behind the nut like the guitar players!

A metal charity song. Whodathunkit?
I think the dissonance at 2:50 is because the notes are a half-step below the actual chord being played in that bar. Half-step intervals can sound super cool, but in this context it sounds weird. That whole bridge section still sounds dope as hell though.

Hmm, it's hard to tell which ones I used for this cover. There's a very good chance that I used the Warwick Black Label (045-065-085-105-135) for this cover.

None. My whole setup is digital. But apart from compression and a bit of distortion, I didn't use any effects :)

Also, this new album is going to be amazing. Gojira have always been a hit-or-miss band for me and most of the songs i like aren't even the whole songs, but the only thing from their new album, that i don't like so far, is "Born for One Thing". The intro is great, but the rest doesn't do that well for me. BUT, the other songs are all 100% hits for me. They get better with every album.
