Without knowing the fullness of what we see can lead us to make what we consider a sound comment but to add to what Nick has said is true. To have a top Uke one needs to train together for "Many years" and in this case not only has he quit new but also nervous not to get his part incorrect and therefore this all adds up to why some may think it is one or the other's fault. Please always realise that this art is a lifetimes work and Uke's do not stay around very long to gel to show the real true bonding. In all Aikido, Nage can only work as well as the people who are on the mat at the time.

@@dirtyharry5957 Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed this session. It is very logical and one needs to see the purpose of this Kumijo practice not just for the mere weapons but how our body movement work with Taijutsu, hence why I was demonstrating some Taijutsu techniques (Nikkyo) showing how and where I am positioned when I do this technique ie on the side not forward towards Uke... These are the secrets that Kumijo reveal when we study well...

@@nickregnier1 I understood what you were trying to get across and it made perfect sense. I haven't been doing Aikido very long but I am starting to get the hang of it. I was at the seminar with my sensei, Jon Stokkoe. We had a great day.

@@dirtyharry5957 Excellent to hear! Please do send my regards to Jon Stokkoe Shihan - he is a gentleman and we immediately acquainted very nicely! I agree with you, we had an amazing day and I hope we can build on our Aikido community to be more supportive with each other as together we can be so much more and give a refreshing vision to any new students and prospective students to join and learn Aikido!
