- After quitting her corporate job to travel and work for herself, then going through a bad breakup, Dinah wasn't sure what to do next in life. She was afraid to travel alone at first and didn't get much support or encouragement from friends and family. But she "took the leap" to solo travel to Paris and the rest is history! We met up in Tulum to chat about how her journey unfolded and tips for people starting out in a travel or digital nomad lifestyle. Incredible talk! Thank you both so much. I'm so thrilled - I'm a solo traveller beginning my digital nomad journey in two weeks. This has been my dream for so long! Thank you for this information and for both of your beautiful energies
That's amazing to hear @RaeLarz! Wishing you all the best on your upcoming journey as a digital nomad. ✨🌍
This video is really helpful to me as a woman who wants to travel alone. Having a corporate job and wanting to make some big changes in my life. This is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you. Just bought your book, Kristin. I bought the audiobook. Thank you for your videos. I always enjoy them ❤
Thank you, Shelly! Great to hear 😊😊😊
She does have well-rounded arguments; I couldn't agree more! Excellent interview 😊
Thank you @NomadElite! I'm glad you found the interview insightful and enjoyed her well-rounded arguments. 😊
well rounded 😉
Dinah is a great interview! She is interesting, full of information, and her safety tips were very good. Thanks for this!
I'm glad you enjoyed the interview @cindyk3076! She truly is a wealth of knowledge, and I'm happy her safety tips resonated with you. Thanks for tuning in! 😊🎙️
I once stayed in an AirBnb house assuming the host was onsite. Turned out there was no onsite host. It was bedrooms with their own locks and pin pads and strangers. Someone was leaving the rear sliding glass door unlocked at night. I messaged the host about it and got out of that arrangement. The safety issues in short-term rentals are real.
Glad you noticed that and stayed safe!
depends on where you are. Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia and so on are much safer than Latin America or the US. Also on the individual circumstances. The net is full with unexperienced ppl (some are used to a higher crime rate and project that onto other regions of the world (like the friend of the right girl in the video who warned about getting kidnapped in Europe. thats an huge lack of knowledge - that happens in many parts of Latin America, Africa but in Europe that is so rare that there should be other concerns came at first in mind. And your Airbnb situation also just depends on where you are. In many places in Europe it just doesnt matter if the door is open. and if you dont know that then you have a lack of knowledge due to a wrong projection. also one reason why I consider everyone as an idiot who talks generic about the world saying 'ok, this city has this or that crime rate and one should be careful - just like in all cities in the world'. just wrong stupid bla bla from idiots. the differences are huge. its always a lack of knowledge if people use such stereotypes - and a lack of reflection, because a basic educated one COULD know that there are differences ..
Great interview! I am a digital nomad myself and I usually stay in the same place 20 days to one month. I agree with her about needing time to adjust to a new environnement. When I am changing place, I am looking for good wifi, kitchen (I prefer cooking), and a laundry room. You can feel home anywhere as long as you have what you need. The place has to suit your needs. Great tips for safety! Thanks ladies 😇.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad you enjoyed the interview and found the safety tips helpful. Happy travels
@jessyherelle! 😊🌍
Hi Kristin, I've been binge-watching so many of your videos; they are so useful. I've been working remotely for a few years and have traveled, but your content is giving me many tips and insights to prepare for longer travel and exploring the world as a nomad.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that my videos have been helpful for your remote work and travel plans. Wishing you all the best on your journey as a digital nomad
@HelloDebbieRoy! 🌍✈️
Wow Kristin..! It's one another fascinating interview.! People are getting more explorative these days.! They're ready to chuck out the banal routines and try something exciting and new and make it a success.! Interviews with digital nomads are exciting enough to pique our interest in doing similar things.! And it of course answers many of our questions by listening to their experiences in different regions of the world.! Kudos.! And you're looking amazing as always.!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you found the interview fascinating and inspiring. Thank you for your support @jaynair2942! 😊🌏✨

Thank you so much for your kind words @blakesbasement! We're thrilled to hear that you found the conversation encouraging and inspiring. 😊🙌
This is really beautiful and thinking how I can level up my life as well doing digital nomad, although I am also doing that at the same time but working more with online clients needs improvement on my side.
Thank you for always sharing this kind of topics
I'm glad you found it inspiring @EverywhereWithFerna! Working with online clients can definitely open up new opportunities. 😊🚀

You always have great posts. ❤
Thanks Roger, I appreciate that
@TravelingwithKristin My pleasure Kristin. I would be loving to do the same thing if I wasn't responsible for 50+ cats. 😊😉
I've sailed the Bering Sea, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, the Great Lakes, and lived in Alaska for a year. Loved every second of it...mostly. 😊
This is great! I'm finding that changing my environment is fantastic for creating new (better) habits too.
Interesting interview thank you! 🌿
Glad you enjoyed it, Tatiana!
Thanks for the video! What is the app you mentioned that lets friends/families see where you are?
Again, an excellent interview. Very helpful since I am right in my transition to nomad life with my 3 fur babies so I am adding a layer of challenges, but I want to go get the animal lover audience and show it is possible with animals to have a nomad life.
That's fantastic to hear! Transitioning to a nomad life with fur babies definitely adds some unique challenges, but it's wonderful that you're determined to show others it's possible. Wishing you all the best on your journey with your furry companions @nycc802! 🐾
This was such a nice conversation that felt intuitive and "flowing." I'll bet you two became friends.
Thank you @michelleglidingswan4334! We definitely hit it off! 😊👍
I wish you both the best of success in your travels and in business.
Thank you so much for your kind wishes! We really appreciate it. 😊🌟
Wise and wonderful
Great video.
Thank you, Dave!
She's Big ❤❤🎉
Thank you for this inspiring video. Could you maybe do a video about safety tools, ideas for female travelers. Like the mace bracelet, please post the link of where to get it.
You're welcome! That's a fantastic suggestion. Thanks @patric5076 😊🌍
Good day K ! 🙂
Top of the morning to you!
Kristin finally got some competition in terms of screen presence😜
She was really helpful and clear KRISTIN great questions on specifics like how she picks places- very helpful. PARIS can be really sketchy esp for women. Is she an ex-New Yorker cause her safety tips FIRE,, esp don;t go into where you actually live/staying.
Thank you! Great tips on staying safe as a female traveler 😊
@@TravelingwithKristin Yes, do you have a separate video on that?
❤ Kristin!
Thank you, @ricoma6037!
Thank you both for your time and posting. Very nice interview with real information. So much better than... What's his name again. :)
You're welcome @davidj7516! We're glad you enjoyed the interview and found it informative. Her name is Dinah. Thanks for watching! 😊🎙️

Translation, I thought my bf would be a drag on my "Journey of Discovery " in France, so I broke up with him and bought some new skimpy clothing to land a hotter, richer guy.
Thanks for sharing! Wishing you all the best on your journey in France @eQuariuz!
Women living their best life, right? She probably has better luck than she would in the US, but if anyone does that enough they end up alone.
I just got back from costa rica . what happening there it is very expensive everything .. not a safe county. Got tired to hear don’t go out after dark don’t hold you iphone in your hand on street. All buildings , windows has steels bars .. not a big fun of it.
