Does Ellie Believe Joel's Lie??? The Last of Us REPLAY [FINALE + DISCUSSION]

Do you think Ellie believed Joel's lie? If she does, when do you think she will find out? When she inevitably finds out, do you think she would be mad? I personally think she would understand why he lied, after fighting about it. But it could be why it seems Joel and Ellie doesn't talk for a long time and gets separated. To me, when she said her last line, "Okay," it seemed like she knew but was gonna hide that she knew and secretly go out and attempt to find out for herself. What do you think?

I’m three years late to the party, but I only recently found your YT from your Twitter.
I’ve played this game a couple times and seen two or three playthroughs; yours has to be one of my favorites. I love how curious you are about the environment and the story. Literally never occurred to me or anyone I know to go backward and check out the road the truck down.

The one thing I would have to say about weapons would be that it'd always be better to have too many, rather than find out too late that you didn't have enough. ;D
Sounds like Marlene had finally reached the end of her mental and emotional ropes and simply let's go--rather like a "FINE. I don't f*cking CARE anymore--I can't deal with this any longer. Do whatever you've gotta do...I'll just have to hope that God and everyone else can forgive me sometime later. But as for NOW, I'm DONE." So she gives the go ahead for the surgery.
Your point at 32:45 was a good--make that GREAT--one: "Then ASK her."
Also want to comment that that was nice of you to acknowledge the animators' hard work at 35:43. SO much easier to just take it for granted.
And finally, I totally agree with you that Ellie's smart and perceptive enough to know Joel's lying to her. The question that I would also want to ask would be if Joel believes HER, with both of them being fully aware of what the true situation really is.
It was totally worth the 12 hours or so to be able to follow this storyline and characters. Thanks!
