I cant believe I'm replaying this more than 10 times and felt the same way. this is insane.i mean ariana grande sang it perfectly but they sang it perfectly w/ more emotions. while listing to this song i often cut it until half because its played everywhere and im tire of hearing it but this duet is making me crazy.

I didn't got goosebumps on my body, but i was at awe like my mouth is literally open. I was expecting to hear good singing, good voices but i didn't expect to hear them sing in clear english. it was sang sososo nicely. kudos! :D if i must judge, i'd say, this one's better than the original which was sang live.
There was a part where her voice was too high to match his (around 2:19) she was singing high soprano she should’ve stuck with singing lead but then when she changed it, it was a lot better, such nice voices
I've never heard this song murdered this way. Surely they both could sing with their own style but other than some flats and sharps they've driven the song in one of the most confusing way. The director was good to capture their moments in a captivating way. But it could not save how the two played it vocally though there were good notes. SFX artist would be confused where to drop bass on this one.

And actually the problem (coming from someone that listened to this song religiously before) is that he seems very uncomfortable in Nathan's higher ranges so he's dropping high notes lower, while she is singing Ariana's parts more or less on pitch and how Ariana would sing it. Overall, he seems like a decent singer but I'm not very impressed by this performance. She is just good, not amazing. But the blame is on him for those bad harmonies in my opinion. He needs to take those notes a few steps higher as Nathan did to match the Ariana notes.
Just to add on, I've gone to karaoke in Korea with people better than these two. This just really is overblown by this audience on whatever show this is because I don't get why they are all acting like this is some amazing show.
