What is the exact open toe foot that you are using? I have a Babylock and it came with an open toe foot that looks a lot like yours. However, mine has the spring and the bar that goes over the needle bar that makes it hop. Yours looks like it doesn’t move/hop. Did you modify your foot that came with your machine or did you buy that open toe foot separately?
Hi Kelly - the foot I'm using is the standard hopping foot that came with the machine - it will be the same functionality as yours. The reason mine doesn't appear to hop much is because I've set the hopping height to very low. (It would hop higher on the machine's default setting).
No, it's not necessary to turn the fabric however I fnd it easier that way to see where I'm going and blend the different shades of thread exactly as I want them to be.
Stunning...I’m so impressed...and thank you . I really enjoyed watching.

How did you get such a good print on fabric
I have a cheap singer sewing machine. Can I use my sewing machine and the foot your using. What machine do you recommend.

Hosw do you set the height of hour hopping foot?
It can't be adjusted on every machine. Check your User Manual to see if it can be done on your machine.
If your free motion quilting why are you turning your fabric back & forth? It's not necessary.
