What a fantastic cruise you had. My daughter and I were on the Explorer of the Seas out of Port Canaveral Florida. To Cozumel and Bahamas. What we didn't know was that was its last trip into the Caribbean and then it was off to the UK for some spiffing up and out it went again. We loved our cruise and the ship. Happy sailing
Explorer recently got a renovation after sailing out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey for many years. I went on it in 2006 which was its first year in Jersey, but it eventually got long in the tooth and due for updates.
Explorer sailed year-round out of Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ from 2006 to 2014. That's a super-long tenure, and it got a bit dated in its final years. The new Anthem of the Seas will soon be sailing from Bayonne year-round, and it should have better handling performance in the North Atlantic than Explorer, as it was designed to handle year-round service from the New York area.

Terri Gilpin Hi Terri, Yesh Explorer came over to Cadiz in Spain to be refurbed in April, then we sailed in June, she looked lovely :)
