U mentioned a substantial large cap and supplement with mid cap. But u haven't clearly mentioned.. do u mean for large cap index fund and for mid cap active funds ?? Can u clear this..
@@pavankuriseti7966 I would suggest if you're investing for 10-20 or even 30 years then go for Index funds because remember when you invest in active fund you're taking additional risk of manager performance. If they don't perform well or the management changes your fund would underperform Index.
7:21 Why not have a large and midcap index fund along with a small cap fund? Is that not a better idea for the long term compared to largecap index fund, given that midcaps tend to outperform the largecaps over the long term
the weightage of Large caps in large and midcap index is high because it is a market cap based index. your weight of mid caps will be low & in down cycle midcaps may impact. Also the impact cost of tracking 250 stocks may/will be high.
Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Hello DK ji, i have aggressive Hybrid & nifty 100 index fund as a core in my portfolio. Is it ok to have only Index fund as core component. Also for midcap, active or passive ? which can be the best way. Please guide. Thanks
There is no such thing as best way. If you feel comfortable with your choices, stick to it. Active or passive debate is secondary, put stress on asset allocation, proper setting of goals etc. Please appreciate in the long run say 20 years any combination that you think superior may or may not beat a simple nifty 50 index fund.

It's better you can stick to edelweiss nifty largemidcap 250 index fund....50% each in large and mid cap segment.
Nope. Don't put 50% in midcap. Put 70% in large and 30% in midcap@@vickeyvvp
Question is how in active and how much in index
